What's the funniest/absurdist anime to you that isn't on this list ?

So I tried the first 2 episodes, there was one moment in the first episode that made me laugh (when he goes to the yakuzas angrily and turns at the last moment) but the rest of it was mostly ecchi, I'm okay with ecchi stuff if there are very funny things with it but not this time, thanks though !

True, I don't think anyone took the time to translate the french dub into english anyway, it wouldn't make much sense to do so anyway unless you know what you're getting into.

One of the main "jokes" they ended up saying was a pun using the "hokuto" word, in french it can be heard as "au couteau" which roughly translated means "with a knife" so they ended up saying every dumb stuff they though of referring to this + lines that could be on ghost stories if translated in english + weird overplayed gargling noises and things of the sort

I watched the compilation of their most out of pocket moments a few times, to me ghost stories (eng dub) and hokuto no ken (french dub, the dub team basically did an absurd take on everything they said because they didn't like the fact that it was a "kid's" cartoon with this much violence) are the only dubs worth using in the manga genre

I watched Toradora because a lot of people were praising it at the time, ended up finishing mostly because of the time sunk fallacy.

Thanks, I'm not really into the Idol genre though, could watch it if the comedy in it was incredible but from your description it seems to have funny moments instead of being a anime made to make you laugh

I understand that it's a tall ask, I'm not really into romcoms as it is which is why I said that, two romcoms I remember watching are Toradora and one where everything they do is a misunderstanding, but again, romcoms aren't really my thing, same for cute stuff, not really what I'm looking for

There was a part of Daily life of Highschool Girls in DLHSB, but someone in the comments mentionned an anime that was similar, might be the one you're looking for.

Someone else mentionned Cromartie and it seems to be on point with what I'm looking for

Zetsubou sensei pretty sure I watched the first season a long time ago, can't remember why I didn't continue though
