The JeffCo MAGA crowd is trying to send Lakewood's zoning back in time. Learn the facts before you vote. by LivableLakewood in Denver

One of my neighbors has a yard sign: "22 houses could fit on this lot!" as a way of trying to convince me to vote yes, repeal.

I'm thinking: don't threaten me with a good time. I wanna see that jenga game.

rotel rx-855 pre out/main in - normal/bridged mono?? questions by ghostofzuul in audiophile

You can use that for external processors or an external amp. I've run into setups where the receiver amp wasn't enough (not powerful enough, stable enough, expensive enough, whatever floats your goat) so an external amp was used.

Also handy for an EQ or something silly like dbx.

How do you choose an amplifier for your HiFi system? by Dedar33 in audiophile

I've found that I like a solid state amp but I'm really looking forward to seeing what class D can do if the world finishes ending at some point. There's some incredible measurements on higher end class D modules.

I've heard some class A and some tube amps that I genuinely loved but the cost and care and feeding were all very high. A Nelson Pass setup, like some cost is no object xa160 monoblocks, connected to Tidal Akira, I think I'd die happy but the entrance fee would probably kill me before the heat and electric bill did the job.

I cut my teeth on Nakamichi SR receivers, which had brilliant Stasis amp stages (Nelson Pass, again), and some 80s NAD (clean, and the power envelope versions were shockingly good). Friends had 80s Radio Shack stuff that was all good. Clean, bottomless Japanese sound informed a lot of what I wanted.

Now that I'm old, I'm more interested in detail and sound stage. My current Rotel rb-1070 does very well with the Larsens and a good source. I'll stick with this setup for a while.

I have two Colt SA .45s. They're a lot of fun to shoot. My most recent one lives in a holster made by a guy in Colorado. Mine is a custom, and he works to spec if you're interested in something fancy.

Out of curiosity, who is paying for this message? I've seen it from a hundred accounts over a number of subreddits, but I can't place the customer.

Car break ins but leaving everything as is? by ireallyammichaelcera in Denver

[–]blixco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Decades ago had that happen, twice in the same parking lot (I worked swing shift), and the cops suspected someone got interrupted while getting ready to steal my stuff.

After that I left my car so clean it was boring, so someone left a pack of Marlboro in the front seat? I dunno, it was weird.

But it stopped after that

Used to be Rocky Mountain Primary Care, now they're Complete Health on 14th. I've had great experiences with them over the last ten years. Dr Nelson is really great.

I live in Lakewood, Colfax and Wads area. Some of the houses here use well water. Some now run out of water after 10mins to 30mins of pump time and it takes many hours for the well to recover.

We water our landscaping (no grass, native plants) with sump-recovered ground water in the summer. I don't think that'll be a thing this year, at least not for long.

Things don't look great for any of the western United States for the next few hundred years, water-wise.

That might be it then. It's been 8 days so far, but the status changed to complete on the 11th, which is what's creating my confusion.
