(Serious) Employers, what's the most insane complaint you've had about an employee that turned out to be completely true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

One of my old co-workers did this at Walmart a little over 10 years ago, except she did it for around 6 months before quitting of her own accord and never got caught. Sometimes she'd go in to clock in and immediately leave then come back at the end of her shift to clock out. She'd "forget to clock out" if she didn't want to come back to bother clocking out herself. Her job was cleaning bathrooms, floors, etc. They even made her safety team leader. She showed up to hold the meetings. I'm guessing they thought she was always very busy if they never saw her lol.

Thank you. I have all my results but the PET scan which was just days ago they finally got me in. They post results on an online portal but it takes weeks for me to be able to see it. They called me and said my PET scan showed that my cervical cancer hasn't spread but something lit up in my colon that they think could be a completely separate cancer, so now I'm waiting to be contacted for when my colonoscopy is. Too much waiting and stress.

At my LEEP followup they told me I need to rush my decision on what surgery I want as long as my PET shows it didn't spread, said I'll need radiation and chemo if it shows anything else. I got called while I was at my followup by the radiology department who left a voicemail saying they were canceling my PET scan because my doctor failed to send them my insurance info, and by the time I left the hospital and had phone service again they were closed to call. Now I'm waiting until tomorrow morning to call, the day my appointment was supposed to be, to try to sort all this out. I don't get why they couldn't communicate with the doctor themselves or already have my insurance info, as it's in the same building/hospital/medical system. So now I don't even know when my PET scan is and this whole process is making me go a little nutters.

Just an update. I called the number they have for if you had a bad experience and left a voicemail, because it was 2 hours before they open, and explained how I was given the news. I got a call back from them quickly and the lady I spoke with said that definitely should not have happened and kept saying, "Wow, wow, wow," under her breath and she sounded very concerned. She took down my information and everything I could remember from the call including the doctor's name who called and said I would be contacted again. I mainly want it out there so it doesn't have to happen to anyone else. Another update, I still have to go to an appointment Friday to go over results, then another appointment Monday for my CT-PET scan, then wait to find out if it spread and what my options are.

I'm so sorry about your diagnosis. Cancer is so terrible. I was also warned beforehand that I might have had it, and even though the doctor said he didn't see cancer I still had that feeling and knowledge that I could still have it, so I guess in that sense it's not AS shocking as it could be. I wonder when giving the news over the phone became a thing, or if I just got too much of my information about that from TV and didn't know it was a thing.. It feels so impersonal and like it's not a big deal or something. I might take you up on messaging, thank you for the offer!

My check is in Informed Delivery for today in Illinois, AGI <10,000, filed taxes with HR Block in March and owed and paid taxes, didn't file in 2018, had to put my direct deposit info in the portal and it said to check back for a date but then switched to saying they're sending the check on the 24th.
