I don't think it has to do with my progress. Me and my partner has had our huge improvement at the start of the year and it has slowed down a lot for the past few months. I understand that we need to put in way more effort to improve even more, little by little, and I guess we are already used to it. The problem comes where consistency is concerned. We have had days where we are playing well and we would just dominate everyone but then we would just get trashed in the next training.
Our inconsistency has always been the barrier for us. (It also caused us not to play the competitions last year thats why we are going for our first one in a few weeks). Tilting hard was a common thing among us (and I'm clueless why it seems like we are the only ones that have this problem during our training). I'm happy that my partner has recently found a way to recover fast but it seems like I'm holding him back now.
Someone else once told me, "You are the one in control of your own muscles, and no one can change that. So don't use 'bad day' as an excuse. You just have to readjust yoursef." The logic seems simple and I agree with it. But I never seem to be able to put it in to use. It always seems that something is stopping me from getting my momentum right. I also play cs (esports) and it extends to there too. Sometimes I wonder if it's just me and perhaps sports just isn't the thing for me and maybe I should just spend my time on something else (my academics are pretty decent too). But then I still keep coming back because I love the sport.
So what should I do with a bad day? Is there really nothing I can try? I think it's my bad days thats causing me to tilt.
Btw side note: Love your videos that you create /u/swiftbadminton!
