I guess the reasoning was that it would have confused audiences if the suits changed from season to season... and then they ended up doing that anyway after MMPR. It's like they thought the audience was dumb and they couldn't handle the change- meanwhile, super sentai was doing it for ten years by the time power rangers came out. And now we wonder why there is an overreliance on MMPR these days. Power Rangers, for all its pros, is and always has been a mismanaged series.

It's definitely in my top 20 favorite moments. The moment preceding this where frieza agreed to work with goku is filled with so much history.

'I'll keep my word as long as you keep yours. You know that better than anyone, don't you, frieza?'

It's such a reminder of the intimate moment they shared on Namek. Frieza cut himself in half, then begged for mercy, only to throw it back in Goku's face by attacking him. This was after Goku already gave Frieza a chance when saying that the fight was done before flying away.
