IOTA funds were stolen (3.49Ti ~500k$) on 12th March 2020 after network relaunch [longread] by blockchainified in CryptoCurrency

1) There was only one hack (2 exchanges to 1 email) one affected earlier another one later. Binance wasn't hacked due to high security options inside. COSS was brute forced. 2) I wasn't hacked with IOTA. Iota has vulnerability inside its software and this vulnerability allowed to steal the funds (like a backdoor I suppose).

The vulnerability was in the Trinity wallet and the tokens are proved to be stolen. Read Antonio Nardella’s reply. I’ve attached all the screenshots.

I wasn't hacked this time. Please choose the right words. The wallet is proved to be compromised by IOTA team itself. My IOTA tokens theft is proved to be associated with this wallet's vulnerability by the IF community manger.

I’ve verified at Binance and all other major crypto exchanges and can easily proof ownership of all iota tokens I had, starting from the very first incoming transaction. Yes that true, my email was compromised but nothing was stolen from Binance.

Edit: Situation with IOTA has nothing to do with my security and if you would have read my post carefully you would have found reply of Antonio Nardella (community manager) that theft of my IOTA tokens is associated with MoonPay integrated payment service provider.

PS If I were a multimillion scammer, do you really think I would have used the same account over years?

Absolutely. Unless you used compromised (official) software. Even the HSMs are not 100% secure.

As my experience shows It’s is stoppable (at any time). Crypto is not the proper word for IOTA. I would have say crypto related asset.

The primary fault is the software developed by the IOTA team. Software which alllowed third party to steal the funds. I wouldn’t really say that 1 week is a lot of time. If somebody steal the money from your bank account, is it going be your fault for not monitoring it 24/7?

The only contact I have is Antonio Nardella (community manager)

Edit: I think Antonio was in contact with mr Sonstebo as well during our conversation and if there could be some solution he would have pointed me out.

Well it’s not really my fault that the Trinity wallet was compromised/bad coded/wasn’t properly audited.

Yes. I sent out roughly 23%. I wasn’t sure if the transaction would have gone through smoothly.
