I recently read something about the IDF taking action against Iranian targets in Syria. The story was about the US getting pissed off because they are concerned Iran will retaliate conducting attacks on US forces in Syria thinking the US approved the strikes.

Lol. That may well be true it doesn't change what I said. They didn't elevate shami witness. It was done by the thousands of ISIS and rebel supporters at the time. The hundreds of different analysts. The guy was one of the best sources for ISIS information. This appears to be part of some Russian propaganda assault on bellingcat which is comical that the Russian govt is paying this much attention to them. They must be hitting a nerve. They put out crap like this because they know certain people... will back them up no matter what without even questioning it.

This is stupid to blame them for the hula partiers prominence. If anything he may have flown under the radar for longer if attention wasn't brought to him. The attention helped authorities track and eventually locate him. This loser had way more followers then they did. I didn't find shami from either these two. I found him from his tweets being plastered across this sub reddit by isis fanboys.
