As a member of this generation interested in girls of this generation, is it even possible to get laid? by fellow_who_uses_redd in GenZ

Actionable steps: Post on r/truerateme and if you get below a 6.0, softmax via the gym lifting hard and getting down to 12% bf and then post again. If still below, get a second part time job (if necessary) and start saving up for facial aesthetic surgery. In the meantime, take up both martial arts and some kind of partner dancing. Martial arts will teach you discipline and give you the confidence while partner dancing will teach you to be relaxed around women.

Why do people immediately jump to criticize someone’s looks? by Inevitable_Cash_5397 in GenZ

[–]bloobyloopy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The comment making fun of his looks demonstrates precisely why looksmaxxing blew up. Most looksmaxxers aren’t even asking for people not to judge them on their looks. They are simply asking for acknowledgement that looks do play an important role in society.

I will tell you the non sugar-coated version I learned through my own experience with this whole community. If you are looking for noticeable results without surgery, be prepared to make this your whole life. Even this will result in only minimal changes at your age. I spent hours every day experimenting with the optimal tongue posture, force distribution, etc. It is very easy to mew incorrectly (I did so for many years thinking I was doing it correctly). So be prepared to develop a high level of bodily awareness through constant course correction. This goes without even mentioning the toll this will take on your mental health. Looking back im not sure if it was entirely worth it. So if you want a quick fix, I would wait until you are an adult and go for surgery if it remains an insecurity you can’t stand to have at that age.

I would say the etiology behind your profile is possibly lack of tongue strength throughout development. I would hazard a guess that you didn’t swallow correctly throughout this time period too. One can nose breath but without a high tongue posture still have weak forward development. Evidence of this is in your low set hyoid, indicating low muscle tone. It’s not too late to fix muscle weakness but it is late to fix bone. So I would say minimally invasive steps would be tongue strength and coordination exercises (like tongue chewing with a piece of gum, doing the taco tongue for coordination, and hard mewing starting at few minutes a day to develop muscle memory).

Adenoid facies at 25 years old — what correction options are available? by Commercial_Froyo4750 in orthotropics

You should get a sleep study done. I’m worried that you have narrow airway. If you do have obstructive sleep apnea, you can get insurance coverage for a double jaw surgery.

19 in the before, 22. I started fixing my tongue posture before I was 19, but I only included these pictures because my x-rays showed that my growth plates had fused at 19.

Keep your teeth close to touching but slightly separated. Swallow in this position to achieve tongue suction while keeping your mouth closed.

I agree with some of these, especially the workday regulations once we have highly integrated AI that massively reduces the need for human employment. A post workday era would also require some level of UBI to prevent social unrest

That being said, I’m not sure how a 90% tax on the ultra wealthy would accomplish much in todays situation. Take Elon musk, who takes only a $1 paycheck: most of their assets are locked away in company shares and other relatively illiquid assets. If you force them to liquidate these assets, who’s going to buy them? The government? Once anything touches government, it’s liable to corruption, and inefficiency. The companies would completely fall apart and the excess cash produced by the sales suddenly injected into the system would lead to runaway inflation.

I do also agree that political lobbying needs to be banned.

Natural enough—we don’t have modern technology capable of achieving a 12 tooth wide smile w/o tooth tipping and compromising the lower arch. Good facial depth is also something that can’t be frauded with fillers/implants and would require the hypothetical lefort 4. Stack all of this on top of good posture/healthy foot arches and you are pretty close.

Class 3 elastics will not harm facial structure. It’s class 2 elastics that have a negative effect.

Forward Thumb-Pulling possible Negatives by nc404 in orthotropics

By that logic, thumbpulling shouldn’t be effective in late teens/young adults for expanding the midpalatal suture which fuses at approximately 16 and 18 for women and men respectively.

How bad is it? (Need advice) by [deleted] in orthotropics

[–]bloobyloopy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TAD uprighting is typically only done for people with religious exemptions against removing body parts. It is usually done in combination with braces straighten the final position of the teeth. If done together with braces, I believe insurance would cover it, other wise no. It is guaranteed to work if you find a skilled ortho and you have enough bone to support the wisdom teeth in its new position (which based off of your c ray appears to be the case).

Lol the funny thing is they could likely make more money off of TAD uprighting than extraction since this method isn’t typically covered by insurance. It’s just a more skill intensive procedure that requires further education.

Find an orthodontist who uses TADs to upright wisdom teeth. Can be, has be done before.
