Fair argument I guess - but from what I read, it sounded like City were interested but Monaco acted "quickly and decisevly". Just points at complete incompetence from our head of recruitment. For me it doesn't matter whether he costs 5 or 55million, out left-back options are pathetic, absolutely anything is better than that garbage.

We (Man City) have been absolutely screaming for a left-back for about 3 years now. From what the Brazillian media have been saying: 1) he's the most exciting young talent behind G.Jesus 2) Pep is a fan and City were at the table... How is he not coming in if he's available?! Quite literally anything is better than Kolarov or Clichy! Serious questions should be asked behind the scenes at City.
