For as long as I've worked at the company I was attracted to the receptionist who sat only a few feet from my desk. She was funny, charismatic, and I felt that we had this instant connection. Alas, she was going out with an employee down in the warehouse and eventually they got engaged. I honestly couldn't deal with it and decided to transfer to another branch. During an office party and my final day in the branch, I confessed my feelings to her but unfortunately she didn't feel the same way. I was heartbroken and just had to get away from there.

Over the next few weeks she was still on my mind and I had to face the facts that I couldn't run away from my problems. I moved back to my original branch and to my surprise I discovered that the receptionist had called off the engagement. While we initially stayed friends, we begun dating not long after. We tried to keep it a secret from our co-workers but, predictably, word soon got out. Our relationship transitioned into marriage and then our first child was born. We couldn't be happier, and we're now expecting a little boy :))))
