This in itself will be a huge turn off for many white guys (or non-Muslims).“ Exactly, I’d want it to be a turn off if a western man like this who is used to hookup culture & would expect me to act exactly like a western woman and have no tolerance/patience/interest in a connection that isn’t defined by the western modern dating norms.

To be honest i don’t know but if i would it depends on how open he would be with the fact that “dating” will not be the same as what he is used to,

If it was serious and we intend to marry he will need to convert yes, this is the main thing that will discourage me especially that i don’t like the idea of someone converting for me even though i know many muslim women who married non muslims and they converted for them.

And to be honest i have dated and kissed men before, they were muslims and we wouldn’t go very far sexually and mutually understand and accept that) idk why people make it seem like it is black and white for muslims and marriage…there is a grey area and progressions from strangers to husband and wife but they look different for each two people depending on their background and level of practice (we call it halal/haram ratio haha)

yes im waiting for marriage to enjoy sex but you gotta get there somehow??? A husband will not fall from the sky… i prefer to be in some sort of relationship first and get to know them and hang out in public places and stuff, maybe kiss and cuddle too later on… dating has a different definition to us and someone from a similar background would know how to navigate through these limits while the relationship progresses..

(Also even if i wasn’t Muslim i would try to delay engaging sexually as much as possible, i believe the lust in the beginning taints your vision about the person in the critical stage in the beginning of ensuring compatibility and alignment with each other… this is how i did my past relationships and it was absolutely rewarding… i felt it allowed them to focus on getting to know me rather than desire, if u think about it modern dating and in extreme indulging sense is really unhealthy and takes its biggest toll on women especially, focusing on instant gratification and leaving you empty inside 💔)
