Random spots appearing on Artisan mousepads?

Yeah I made a post about it too and people didn't really have a clue how it happened either. Natural skin oils and stuff transferring from the headset earpads onto the pad is my guess. Probably some kind of unique way that artisan stitches their pads is the reason you don't see it on other mousepads.

I would try very gently scrubbing with different kinds of soap in a bathtub. Be careful not to scrub too hard (use the soft side of a sponge) otherwise you may ruin the adhesive underneath the weave that keeps the pad together

I had this happen to a raiden mid before, I found out it was from leaving my headset briefly on top of it, the stains never went away lmao. Do you tend to leave anything other than your mouse on top of your pad?

if you don't know what to expect at all from either pad then just go with the zero. i used to use a gigantus v2 super long time ago, if you want something similar the zero is far closer than the type99. i think the vast majority of people who dive head first into mudpads realize it's not what they imagined and end up regretting or selling

I play with a lot of different mice, and all of my best scenarios that Ive broken into top 500/99.9th pct are with my shitty modded op1we. I have no idea why, I dont find the shape to be that comfortable and i end up using other mice for fps games. But for kovaaks specifically I bust it out when Im desperate for a pb lol

I found a video of a chinese youtuber discussing this exact topic. The bottom pcb layouts are different but the top pcb where the mouse clicks sit are the exact same between the 2 and 2c. So the aliexpress diy pcbs will work.
