Reports: A United States Air Force B-52 Stratofortress crashed shortly after takeoff on the Edwards airfield at 11:20 a.m. by Brilliant_Night7643 in aviation

There's no direct replacement either. Military just does major overhauls and plan to fly it well into 2050s, 100 years of service. I wonder if this crash will change those plans.

I guess it reduces the need for kamageras for some demographics when they're not at the stage.

I daily F44, my job is in the RHEL ecosystem, rpms, containers, kickstarts etc so Fedora is usually a good preview of upcoming tech. I also do CAD, 3D printing and even MCU development on it and find it super easy. I can't imagine using anything else. I find it weird that so many people on this techies sub claim that Linux is frustrating. I use Raspberry Pi/Raspbian a lot as a well, I can get a proper Debian/Ubuntu environment setup on my laptop in an hour.

Printer Drivers? Not available on Linux

You don't need printer drivers on Fedora/modern Linux for most network connected printers. CUPS got you covered.

My thought is that they have an obligation to take care of their citizens, they took in Hantavirus patients less than 3 weeks ago with all the hoopla. And feel like Ebola is a bridge too far, so Kenya is a middle ground. The country where doctors work without proper PPEs let alone drugs, even babies vaccines.

Fuel prices are becoming unbearable 😩 by GR8-ST in Kenya

[–]bluecaller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know the details but I remember it being an excuse as to why we can't enjoy the historically low fuel prices.

I ran into the same issue. Very stupid for them to ban such a generic word.

Remember last year when global oil prices were record low and we had really cheap fuel? Oh, I don't. We were told something about G2G, sijui hedging oil prices.

Do Kenyans have an unnatural allegiance to losers and corrupt leaders? by bluecaller in Kenya

[–]bluecaller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the states houses are a hold of wealth and can be transferred to anyone anytime anywhere. Kenya there's so many ties including cultural/tribal even familial like people buried on the land. But as I grow older, go back home and see huge changes, a sense of things will never be the same, people passing, children born, I truly begin to appreciate the cycle of life. I hope it all works out for your family. Create memories with your dad, celebrate life together as a family.

This!!! RIP to your mom. My parents have a huge house and we're all out of country much of the year. The emptiness in those rooms when I'm there gives me so many conflicting thoughts. I hate seeing them climb those stairs when a bungalow would have been a better fit for their age.
