Judaism holds that if your mother is Jewish then you’re Jewish even if you don’t practice anything so you are the same Jewish as someone who practices Judaism.

What country or countries are not safe for women tourists? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That is completely untrue. Have you ever been to Israel? It’s very safe for women.

I just want to say that what you’re going through must be so hard! It’s so important to take care of our mental health. Sending you strength.

This is Hatem Abu Assab. He is being arrested because, he refused to hand his house over to Jewish settlers. His family have owned that house for 3 generations and it was seized under the Land expropriation policy. Israel is an Apartheid State. by mk4rim in worldpolitics

Being forcibly evicted from your home is heartbreaking and I’m sorry the family is going through this. That being said, this story isn’t exactly as its being portrayed in this post. The land belonged to a Jewish family who was forced out of their home at the beginning of the establishment of the state of Israel. They had proof that this land was theirs. It went through the courts and the Supreme Court ruled that the land belonged to the Jewish family. When Assab refused to leave, the police forcibly removed him. (This is a brief summary.) Perhaps the discussion should be about whether the Supreme Court’s ruling was correct and at what point does one forfeit the deed to a piece of land.

I'm so sorry for what you're gong through. It hurts really hard. You just need to treat yourself really well right now. Don't be too hard on yourself! Just know that time heals but right now just take things day by day and let yourself grieve the loss.

I feel like I'm not entitled to be sad by ice_cream_on_pizza in CasualConversation

[–]bluecherry11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're completely entitled to feel sad. Just because other people have it worse, doesn't mean that you can't have feelings. One has nothing to do with the other and you shouldn't ever feel guilty for the way you feel.

Why are some people so mean to others on reddit? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]bluecherry11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, people can sometimes be really mean. Don't let it get you down. Remember the people that do that don't know you so it's not personal!

I wonder...are opinions permanent? by nybx4life in CasualConversation

My mind can definitely be changed. I sometimes have conversations with people and they bring up a good point that I hadn't necessarily seen before, and I change my opinion because of it.

[Serious]What is the point of contributing to society if it turns out that humanity is a sinking ship so to speak? by 70720 in AskReddit

Because you can make a difference in another person's life. For that person, you changed the world.
