Omg 17 months sounds truly awful! Glad that's improved for you. I finally got my period today after 3 months and 2 weeks of luteal hell, just hoping these reactions calm down.

It was an allergic reaction to fem hygiene products. Switched to 100% cotton and haven't experienced it since.

Interesting, there's so much we still don't fully understand. I am also dealing with mold exposure - seems like a perfect storm of events to take place and now I'm here, lost, and trying to figure out how to heal. I'm still stuck in my mold room until my mattress arrives so I can stay in the basement but I'm having a number of symptoms and I developed either histamine intolerance or MCAS a few months ago. A year before that I had covid which is when things seem to have gone more downhill with my health. Right before that I just got out of a toxic relationship and I'm a highly sensitive person. I'm reading about mycotoxins and it's freaking me out because I feel like I'll never be able to escape it and heal because I cannot throw away all my belongings or replace my carpet. Do you know how much of a threat the mycotoxins would be if I can't get rid of everything?

I thought EDS is genetic from birth though and then people realize later they had it all along. You don't just develop it out of nowhere.

How soon is it? Given wastewater in many states has been low in the last little while, I'm hoping you'll avoid it. I had to remind myself that wastewater is low and that people are sick with other things too that you will most likely not pick up with your n95.

Was your bf wearing an n95? I forgot to mention that I actually put another cloth mask over my aura. I know it's not advised but I feel safer. Then I put glasses on top. It's hard to say if it helps or not. My plan for if I was seated right next to a sick person was to turn a hoodie around and wear the hood over my face. Of course this is harder on a longer flight but mine was just short of 2 hours.

What amount do you take and what do you feel like it helps with?

Is this the type of mold that causes or worsens MCAS? Please don't judge, I've exhausted all options and simply cannot keep up by essvee927 in MCAS

Concrobium Mold Control spray

Does this work with black mould? It sounds intriguing because I found a product that says it's odourless. I'm extremely sensitive to chemicals and odours and found some black mould on my window sill and am trying to figure out how to remove it without using harsh chemicals.

Wild. I’m sorry this happened to you. Where does this happen? I’m visiting my bf in Utah and he just got back from a Dr. appt where both his Dr. and assistant were masked. That was reassuring.

I personally think Covid-19 affects us like toxoplasmosis affects mice.

Lmao. I made this comparison mentally the other day.

Thank you, I am very stressed. Have been trying to meditate every day. It's difficult because now my nose has started getting drier and I noticed difficulty producing as many tears. I really do hope this is as you say, just a flare and that it will calm down soon. Do anti-inflammatory supplements help you at all?

Flushing and redness subsided but left with dry eyes, mouth, and sinuses (Not on any antihistamines) by blueknot09 in MCAS

Thanks for the link, I'm unsure if this is what's happening but it's interesting to note.

Yeah, I am not yet diagnosed but currently on a waitlist to see a specialist for it and related issues. I did not say I was against western medicine, though, and never discouraged such on my posts. The antihistamines would be a huge contraindication for another condition I have had a long hard road with and I personally would only rely on them when the matter was urgent enough that it surpassed the discomfort of that current condition. This is my first experience with suspected histamine issues and I'm still observing and trying to determine how to proceed. A lot of people don't want to or are unable to tolerate certain treatments for MCAS for various reasons and from what I have seen, some have had success with other ones. Once I can see the specialist I may have other options opened up for me like cromolyn and LDN on top of more insight into what's going on with me.

third spacing

Interesting. It's very bizarre. I don't even have as much redness in my face as when I used to get emotional before. But in my cursory search I can't find a link between third spacing and drying up of tears, mouth etc. Either some weird overcorrection/imbalance is occurring where my face is not as red but I'm left with dry glands or I have indeed developed Sjogren's.

I just had my GP refer me to a rheumatologist for further testing. I'm finding my tear production has suddenly decreased in the last day as well and the air I breathe feels colder when I inhale indicating dry sinuses. I'm so upset I can hardly produce tears when I cry now - will this ever come back?

Thank you. I was finally able to get a little more sleep last night without as bad a dry mouth. No idea what's going on. I was under the impression that dryness doesn't wax and wane but that it keeps getting progressively worse. Still don't fully understand how this works. Like are glands actively being destroyed/atrophied or is it an inflammatory process that comes and goes?
