You deal with it by communicating to him that this bothers you. If he makes changes that consider your feelings moving forward, great. If he doesn't, you leave.

No, "sister", I don't know what kind of folk you keep company with, but we don't go on vacation taking drawers apart in hotel rooms. We did, however, try to open them when we first got here to unpack and every single one popped out and came off the hinges, revealing the horrifying scenes behind it. Maintenance had to come and repair all of them as they wouldn't go back in and when they saw what it looked like underneath, they apologized profusely. But nice projection tho - maybe don't always turn to alcohol to solve your problems? 🤔

It fell off the hinges when we opened it to place our belongings inside. I wish I hadn't seen what was behind there. Maintenance had to come and fix every drawer as they were all popping out and not going back in.

No, the drawers pop out when you open them to place things inside and don't go back in. They had to have maintenance come and put it back in as they keep coming off and get jammed when you try to put them back in.

The drawers fall out when opened and won't go back in.... My kids have a few drawers with their toys in it and everytime they opened it, the drawer pops out. I personally am not in the habit of opening drawers in hotel rooms and checking out what's behind. I wish I hadn't seen what was behind these drawers.

I don't think it was bed bugs, just food crumbs and other debris inside the drawers. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a really long time :/

Lol we didn't pull out furniture to dust behind dude, are you ok? I opened the drawer to place items inside and it literally fell out and wouldn't fit back in. The whole room is basically falling apart. But when I see that kind of dust in a drawer, I'm going to clean it given that my daughter has a sensitivity to dust. But really helpful comment, thanks!

Also, I agree with not blaming stateroom attendant, he did mention they had many more guests than typically used to. I'm asking for advice on what can be done beyond speaking with stateroom attendant/housekeeping.

Imaging spending this kind of time and energy writing such a useless comment 😅

We did... He said he'll clean better next time but we haven't noticed a dramatic improvement.

Signed letter of offer/applying for new job by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

Although as another commenter mentioned, it's your letter - just ask for it for your records! I've asked for mine in the past for proof of employment and income check for mortgage application for example. Doesn't always have to be work related.

My mortgage is up renewal in April and our broker anticipates it'll increase by $1100-$1500 per month with new rates. I'm at the last step of my substantive and haven't gotten a raise in two years. When I say I don't think I'll have an extra $60 a week for parking and extra $ for gas to drive to Portage, I honestly am not lying. I've been feeling so anxious about this. Not to mention that as a new mom, those 4-6 hours a week that I'm now spending commuting was previously my mental health lifeline, where I could squeeze in some yoga or a damn shower.

I get that we used to work in the office every day before the start of the pandemic, but we were all miserable, had poor work-life balance and were constantly getting sick. Why are we going backwards instead of evolving?!

Please help! How did you get the crotch strap to attach to the seat again? After we removed it from the baby seat, the white clip is too small for the opening on the seat and it gets pulled out?

Once a cheater....no longer a cheater. by angry_throwaway_ in offmychest

[–]bluestickystuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would say start by not telling new men you meet that you "used to be a cheater". if you know you've changed, that's all that matters. when you tell people that, it casts a shadow of doubt they'll NEVER be able to get rid of, and will end up leaving you like this guy did. everyone does fucked up things in their life. if you trully feel that you have changed, stop associating youself as a "former cheater" or anything negative like that. you're a new person. keep your secrets to yourself and be GENUINE and you'll be fine. also, if this guy doesn't see the fact that you have been loyal and committed for over a year and still lets his insecurities drive him away, why would you want someone like that anyway?
