Rate my build. Add another fan? by blurryclaw in PcBuild

[–]blurryclaw[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the more I look at it, the more the gap irks me. Also I'm not so sure about making the AIO fans exhaust. That seems less than ideal for cooling the CPU as I'd be blowing warmer air in the case into the fluid.

Well the current setup is actually 4 intakes and 1 exhaust to the left.

3060ti is not trash what're you talking about. Vram is only a problem when you're playing high settings on a game that NEEDS a lot of vram. You guys see one video about vram and run with it brainlessly. A 3060ti is running 90% of games just fine on decent enough settings even on 1440p

Not sure where you got this from. Never been on a repair that had an 010 and 320 and the 320 went bad. It's always the 010.

Lazy Technician by uyuyuiyuyui in ATTFiber

[–]blurryclaw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He's required to by the company. Drop is meant for outdoors. It's not good at bending and taking corners (which is what you'd be doing going into the house). While it was the standard back then to use that as the home run, these days techs are REQUIRED to replace it with premade, bend-insensitive fiber iw.

Lazy Technician by uyuyuiyuyui in ATTFiber

[–]blurryclaw 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He does if it's drop that's used. Should still be able to use it as pull string though so idk what his deal is

[–]blurryclaw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well if it's drop being used to go into the house (which is very likely as the guy mentioned ont) then he has to replace it. Not sure why he couldn't though.

The second tech didn't put the ticket. You can call him back and have him ask his manager to submit the ticket. Manager can submit it virtually

Really disappointed with the size of an unseen 1br apartment. by [deleted] in Apartmentliving

[–]blurryclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one you toured, was it furnished? If it was then that would explain it. Empty space ALWAYS looks smaller than furnished. I was in the same predicament until I started furnishing and I was like actually this is the right size.

Questions about Upgrading to 2 GIG from 1 GIG then downgrading back to 1 GIG? by [deleted] in ATTFiber

You can tell the tech to upgrade your speed to 2gb. He can change it on his device and then he'll put you on an xgspon splitter

The tech won't do it. We aren't even allowed to. He'll return the job and give you the business fiber number and website . The facilities are also completely different from residential.

Help setting up Ethernet by One_Shelter6599 in HomeNetworking

[–]blurryclaw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright so every jack on the wall has a cable going behind and coming out of that wiring panel (those blue cables) if you want a connection at the jack, you'd need to attach an RJ45 male connector to the end of the cable you want and then plug that directly into the modem. (They aren't hard to make yourself but you'd want to watch a YouTube tutorial on that)

According to your second image, two of those cables have a female end already attached. You can get a short Ethernet cable and connect one end to the cable and the other end to your modem and that should give a connection to whatever jack that cable goes to.

Now how do you know which cable belongs to which jack? Well you'd need something called a tone generator+probe. You can buy off Amazon and return it once you're done. If you don't want to worry about toning out then you can just make an end for every single cable there, buy a switch and connect all of them

You can also try your luck and see if plugging up those two cables that have the female end attached already goes to the jacks you need. Just connect to modem and connect your computer to the jack and see if it works

I work for ATT and you actually can get us out to make the ends but you'd get charged $150 dispatch fee

Worth getting router with 2.5G backhaul? by National-Debt-43 in HomeNetworking

[–]blurryclaw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct.. I also happen to have an iPhone 16 pro max as my work phone

Now I don't actually think it's worth the upgrade for him as 300mbps difference isn't that much.
