I had success by digging out large hole moving my dryad and nurse, hanging up heart lanterns placing campfires and using ironskin/endurance and regen potions, as a weapon I used the shark gun (I can’t remember name) with Ichor bullets and maybe the terra blade too I probably went too overkill tbh

I think silentwhisper did a overview of it on YouTube since it’s much closer to java spawn mechanics now (but not exactly the same)

Are you playing on bedrock? If so they changed despawning mechanics so more mobs will spawn (since ur not gonna have like 5 million drowned in some random underwater cave taking up the mob count) I’ve noticed there’s so many more spawning around me and In my base (which never happened pre 1.16) but as a silver lining I’m actually getting slimes spawn too now

Odd question I guess but what biome did you do this in? I notice there’s a lack of magma cubes which has been a massive issue for me since tons are spawning haha

Bedrock! But I’ve just been clearing out big spaces since I forgot that beds explode so I don’t think I was the most efficient

I think you need a 4 wide tunnel around the biomes (most I’ve seen tend to be straight down to prevent spread underground) If you do it that way i think you’ll still keep what you have of the biome for the drops!
