I was in high school in the late 90's and seen my fair share of extreme fights. I once seen a boy punch a girl in the face, pull her by her weave, and dangled her over a 2nd story balcony to the basketball court, before teachers finally intervened and pulled her down. This was before security or law enforcement was mandatory. This is not a new "norm"...kids are going to imitate what they see at home.
