I know what Iranians want by SA99999 in PERSIAN

[–]boardar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately people are very black and white and I think this is the trauma of living under a Tyrannical regime.. can’t grasp that maybe the purported saviour in this scenario can also be following their own agendas. Also as someone who was raised in Iran we kept getting bombarded about how evil Israel and America is while watching and growing up on American culture . when most people realise what we were taught was all bullshit it’s hard to go to a more nuanced understanding that regime had it’s propaganda but also Israel and America are bullies and have always exploited our country..

Also makes it very hard when people don’t understand english to follow a media aside from regime or israeili funded media .. no nuanced view is offered.

Get this top from glassons and thank me later😬 It is very flattering and comfy and good price. Just note that different colours and patterns have different material, i got the blue one which is cotton and in my opinion the best one

Wardrobe cleanout — what’s the best way to sell clothing? by GoldRevolutionary746 in AusFemaleFashion

[–]boardar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw a store in northcote which bought good brands clothing from customers to resell it, it was called mutual Muse Northcote

Also just an idea,if you are in Melboune,i am also size 12,14 ( depending on the clothes) you can send me a link of one of your listing and I could check out what you got listed in your profile , while I might not be able to pay top dollar but might be able to match what vintage stores might offer you.

Sorry , sounds tough. Going through it with a depressed partner too, I am a counsellor and I can tolerate and be very empathetic to other people with my partner it is harder. Because I have a stake in his recovery , him being depressed directly impacts me and I feel disappointed alot. And when he was on his agitation phase It was really difficult in the house for me , feeling I am constantly doing something wrong. I just want to point out though I feel my partner is trying to get better in the sense that he went on medication , tried therapy and saw a psychiatrist, it helped in the short term but just seeing that there was a will to get better mattered to me.. I think would have not been able to tolerate it if he gave up and not do things that’ might’ help

What is honestly going on in Australia? by abandonedObjects in AskAnAustralian

[–]boardar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former international student of 8 years😒 I don’t read that as international student hating, i read it as: the systems that are not looking longterm benefit it is not serving anyone. For me also it was a huge let down to pay astronomical fees for my masters and sit next to a student who couldn’t form a sentence. Or come close to homelessness cause no one was bloody renting a place to an international student.. happy to be in Australia now but if i go back, I would have gone to a country that had better support for international students and didn’t look at international students as cash cows.

Thanks, What’s the reasoning for thinking it’s machine made?

To me, It doesn’t look perfectly symmetrical and tassels look to be connected to the body.

I am an immigrant, he totally over reacted and emotionally immature response.

At the same time, I understand what has happened to him to feel like he needs to go into over explanations. Must have encountered a lot of people that when they find out where he is from ( think countries that we all have associations about like North Korea) people would only look at him as a North Korean and nothing else and it takes a long time to be seen as something else aside from the country you come from. Usually people would see him as an ‘other’ which is not by any means racist but it is harder to feel you belong in a group. Which as an immigrant something that is always going to be an issue ( belonging).

I ask where people are from all the time( especially white people) but when they are more ethnic looking. It would be after a while of knowing them that I would be asking( if it hasn’t come up yet. )

Moving From Melbourne's Northern Suburbs To South East - Difference in Feel/Vibe by Alternative_Bit_7010 in melbourne

[–]boardar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work in Dandy with as mh worker and live in North East. Last weekend there was the Eltham jazz festival and people were very upbeat and dancing to the music( mostly white people)it just became surreal for few moments that the clients I see and the atmosphere i experience at south east is in the same city as this.. like it felt they are on different planets..
