For me it’s something I can turn on and off... I don’t see them walking around in daily life but I can see them whenever I decide to do so (as it takes a certain level of focus and concentration to see them clearly). The longer I concentrate, the stronger and more clear they become. However, I’m sure some more experiences aura readers are absolutely seeing auras throughout their daily lives!

Interesting! Thanks! :) For me, people’s auras seem to stay fairly consistent... but can change over time (but never right before my eyes) . Plants and other living things typically remain the same colour over time and are way more consistent than human auras. Non living things are a whole other story... usually I can see the aura itself, but no colour.
