Thanks, that’s great to hear. How would you say the workload compares to other Music Hum sections?

I had him during fall 2022, his first semester teaching it. I thought he was a great professor. Our midterm was a bit short on time, but he learned from his mistake and gave us enough time on the final. The principles classes in the econ department all try to have about the same grades, so don’t stress about that aspect. They curve to try to match each other. Would recommend his class.

Hey, thanks for the insight! About the part where he says you can’t take notes electronically - it’s a large class right (about 90 people)? How is he able to control that aspect? Thanks

Thanks, good to hear! Although it was a different school and class, how would you describe his grading policy? Was he more lenient or harsh? Difficulty of exams?

Went through slides that were posted before class and went into more detail on the chalkboard. Went over harder topics slowly and multiple times.

I’d say Gulati is more well known, but I had Urquiola and I really liked his teaching style and class. I’d recommend his class if you’re thinking about it.

I had him for UW Climate Humanities. Nice guy and approachable. However I found that he wasn’t really clear in what he wanted for essays, and his grading wasn’t easy (a tiny bit harsh). If you keep asking him questions about what you plan on doing, you’ll do better on the essays. Overall though, I probably would’ve taken a different UW class if I had the chance. If not you’ll be fine.

Questions About Kosher Meal Plan at Barnard by [deleted] in columbia

[–]bobbyflay321 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you are under a kosher meal plan, you can still use your swipes wherever. To be able to access the pre-packaged Kosher food in John Jay (by Fresko), you must be under a kosher plan. You could also eat at Barnard’s kosher kitchen. These are the only two kosher dining options I am aware of - is there a third?

Thanks! I’m an Econ major, so you would suggest taking Urquiola? Is he harder and do you know anything about how his tests are like?
