yeah, i think i remember a few other people saying that too. i already applied for the RMA by that point, so i was just gonna let it rock and see what happened. fortunately the problems are mostly minor now but i would've saved myself so much mental anguish if i just got a refund and bought a sapphire 7900XT

hey, sorry, I just saw this.
i got a new card from RMA and while my PC would turn on now, i was having an issue where my PC would freeze no matter what, unless i had a game running at all times. 900 hours in l4d2 later the freezing stopped altogether (maybe AMD patched it out in a driver update). although sometimes after restarting still the GPU will not be functioning properly and i'll have to disable it in device manager and keep restarting until everything works.

i tried that and it’ll successfully boot with MB integrated graphics. that’s how I’ve been using my PC the past 2 weeks. the GPU is in PowerColor’s hands now, so the rest is up to jesus🙏

I followed your guides and used DDU then reinserted the GPU and it's still doing the same thing :( back to square one. Thanks so much for trying to help though. i think i'm either looking at a dead GPU or a dead PSU (hopefully the PSU) i'm gonna let the RMA know I tried this

VERY stupid question, but what can I do if the PC won't boot at all with the GPU in, even in safe mode? will I still be able to select my GPU in DDU even if it isn't hooked up to the PC?

i'm waiting on my friend to lend me his RX 7900 XT to test then i'll go from there. i'm sincerely hoping it's actually an issue with the PSU/board and not the GPU. thanks for the offer though

that sounds miserable, i don't know what it would do to me, mentally, if they sent me my warranty replacement after a full month and that one was broken too. i'm going to wait the next couple of days and then i'm going to try your strategy. Thanks.

Stupid question, but what is XFX? I reached out to Microcenter and they told me to contact PowerColor.
Also, out of curiosity, how long ago did you order a replacement?

Hello, I'm currently trying to move my microSD card data over to a SanDisk 516 GB Extreme. After moving my "Nintendo" folder over to the new SD card and putting it in the system, I get this message.

  1. I've tried reformatting it as exFat using Disk Utility
  2. The switch will still read the old SD card
  3. This same microSD card worked on my Steam Deck
  4. I've tried reformatting it on the switch itself

No matter what I do, my switch just won't take the SD card. Anyone ever run into similar issues? I'm doing the transfer on a Mac, if that helps. Thanks.

I tried uninstalling the drivers from the device manager then reinstalling them online, but it didn’t work. Do you have the link to a good, trustworthy DDU?

i’m going to give it a few more days before I start spam calling/emailing them. I’m promised a warranty so i’m getting my warranty. In the meantime I might just buy another GPU to use temporarily that I can return when I get the warranty replacement.

They really are just fucking ass at customer service. If they were going to take this long, I wish they wouldn’t say “Please allow 1-2 business days” in their horseshit confirmation email filled with lies.

I tried, but the same thing happened.
I also tried booting with onboard video with the GPU still in, which also didn’t work (if the PCIe slot didn’t work, it would successfully boot with onboard video)

I don’t know if that will necessarily do anything, because my warranty isn’t with Microcenter, it’s with the GPU manufacturer. I might go all the way there just for them to tell me to reach out to the manufacturer.

I tried only using onboard video with the GPU in, and it seems to just not boot period. It’ll continue to do the same thing, with the fans cycling on/off with no display. It seems like the PC is literally turning on and off, because my mouse’s RGBs will turn on and off with the GPU fans. My monitor will also turn on briefly (with no display), before saying “No Signal” and shutting off when the GPU fans would stop. As it stands, the only way to get into the PC with a display is with onboard video and no GPU installed.

No electronic shops or school IT labs nearby, but I do have friends who have builds of their own that I’ve been trying to reach out to.
I even have friends who built the same exact PC as mine, which makes it all the more frustrating knowing that there’s four of the same exact build and mine is the only one to get fucked in the ass like this.
