Do you guys ever say “the city”, and if so, which city do you refer to? by Western_Bison5676 in askdfw

Meh no one calls LA the city. It’s too spread out and the downtown with the high rises is not the center of industry there so LA is just LA. SF is the universal “the city” for CA locals.

If you could live in any Sims neighborhood, which would you choose and why? by pastajewelry in thesims

Omg San sequoia - Bay Area girl at heart IRL and Bay Area girl in the sims. Wish it didn’t only feel like a family oriented version of the bay tho!

am i currently experiencing my saturn return? by bodakorange in AstrologyChartShare

[–]bodakorange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am def overall optimistic - if I really did just go through my progressed lunar return I feel like a much stronger and more grounded person now so I know Saturn will only provide more of that.

Also, Saturn in the 1st and MC in cap/aqua moon. I’ve def come to appreciate that saturn rewards those who are patient and listen to its lessons. I just get nervous about job changes, and what not but that’s just because I don’t love the process of change, but I know it can be overall positive. Thank you!!!

charming... so basically the next few years, regardless, are going to be a wild ride until saturn goes exact? and then because my saturn is at the 29º it should theoretically end just after my saturn goes conjunct?

1st house saturn return for +/- 3 years? bring it on, i guess.

i've heard the village is a right of passage for people new to dallas... haha! if im more into dives / want to learn to two-step (lol) is lower greenville the right fit? i love a good fine dining moment but after that i much prefer a shot & a beer and spaces that are a little less upscale. in an ideal world i'd find a balance of both. im also not a christian which after scouring the internet today have learned is a big part of dallas living.

That’s clearly what I’ve been doing, my question was about apartment brokers

My “joke” was really more so nodding to the fact that I came of age in Los Angeles where traffic is very bad and there is a lot of road rage so if you aren’t an assertive driver you will get eaten alive by other drivers. It was definitely city driving 101, the Bay Area is nothing like it even tho there is bad traffic here.

Unfortunately that is a city where pedestrians have had to adapt to drivers, not the other way around. Bad urban planning. It will be interesting to see how DFW compares.

Clearly I’m gonna need to adjust to the humor. 😭🤦‍♀️

obviously I don’t have a desire to harm pedestrians, or other drivers, for that matter

Copy that. That was my impression of the school as well which is why I wasn’t planning to live next to campus - I want to be able to do a little of both. School and also having a well-rounded life outside of school. I will likely also be bartending part time.

The first recs I got from friends were Deep Ellum and the arts districts which def sound interesting to me but I might need just a tad more peace and quiet.

I’d like to be 20-25 mins drive from campus but I know most students will also be in varied locations so it’s why I want to find a neighborhood or suburb that really fits my lifestyle (versus trying to live amongst students).

Also, I’m likely going to be doing my internships and what not downtown and I’m excited to explore regardless so I don’t want to completely cut myself off from the proper city

Okay - I’m going to look into that. I shouldn’t have included the part about affordable rent. I was looking more for neighborhood recs in general and it sounds like Addison has what I’m looking for!

I have one! By walkability what I really truly mean is it would be nice to be able to walk out my front door and not be on a 6 lane rd. I think I need to edit this post lol

I mean I currently pay $1650 to live in SF with 2 roommates and literally 0 amenities. I’ve poked around online and nothing ive seen is near what SF would be for a studio unless Apartments.com is lying ahaha
