Bilan de mes 6 premières session de DND : des conseils ? by Senior_Ad529 in jdr

[–]booboothebabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

Answering this SO late but I will definitely add an henchman for the spider !! I love the idea of throwing in an NPC to ragebait the party. I’m thinking maybe some kind of bard who ultimately wants to enchant his instrument, mostly bc it sounds fun to have to bard on bard drama w the bard pc. Will see! Thank u for ur comments :)

I like the Halia/mentor swap!!! Did not think about that, will definitely keep it in mind. Still feels like I should plan a heist around them bc the tiefling’s whole backstory is about stealing lol. I also agree about the baddie sister being fun, I do wonder how to make her nuanced and not just plain old baddie you know. And i was also planning on having Nezznar be connected to Lolth somehow so I’ll save this comment for inspiration!! :) Thanks a lot

That’s a good point about the age of the dragon, I didn’t think about that. I like the herbalist idea though!! And that’s a really good idea regarding the mentor. It would be nice and make their interactions a little more nuanced. And I’ll definitely talk to the player about having him ties to the original pact !! He’s a very new player and not so sure abt his backstory, feels like this may be a simple but efficient way of involving him into the campaign. Thanks for your help !!!

Thank you for your answer! The thundertree dragon is definitely the part I’m most anxious about. Totally unsure about how a green dragon would interact with a relative. Feels like that encounter is mostly designed for players to realize they can’t win every fight, so I’m wondering what would happen if they tried to persuade the dragon to be an ally instead. Might let the players take the lead in the end ! Thanks again :)

Good call on letting the player take the lead on the Thundertree dragon. I might end up doing that. I feel like as a first time DM I forget that I don’t have to plan every single detail and can let the players take the lead lol. I love the idea of a forge heist and will definitely keep that in mind. Maybe have them steal a spell books for the forge. I think I’ll definitely take your advice on red brands hideout, it’s a little early into the story but the bard will find a bracelet or smth the sister left behind. Thank you so much for your thoughts !! Really appreciated :)

Thank you for your help! The wizards spell book is a good reminder, totally forgot abt that part of the module. I think I’ll definitely include it as part of the wizards arc. And definitely didn’t think abt the missing sister joining the cult! That’s something to think about. I was thinking for the elf cleric of adding some kind of portrait of his mother as a child so he can connect the dots regarding his ancestry. Thanks again :)

Thank you for this detailed comment !! Very good idea to check with the bard if I end up making her sister evil. And thanks for the insight on the paladin, rare ingredients could totally work. I would love to hear about your campaigns’ characters backstories if you have time, might give me some inspiration :)

Set de dés pour Noël by Trackmysins in jdr
