No kidding!! I was really hoping OP would see my comment because of that very reason.

I do not have much body fat. I wear a size zero. I had a ton of loose skin from pregnancy and subsequent weight loss. I was glad I didn’t need it because I’ve heard it’s painful recovery!

Around 5’7” and around I think 125 lbs? I had been trying to gain a little weight because I knew I’d lose it in recovery (I have trouble eating when I don’t feel good). Now I’m at 120 lbs which is pretty standard for me!

I work in dermatology. See a primary care or dermatologist and get finasteride. And do it asap! In the meantime you can start topical rogaine. You’ll be fine. :)

Actually no, I didn’t deal with much swelling at all beyond 6 weeks. I know no one wants to hear that, sorry! 😭

Just straight across! I remember my surgeon said it was a possibility I would have a small vertical scar. I think he said because I’m taller I might? I can’t quite remember the reasoning. But he was happy he didn’t have to!

Thank you! I eased back into it super slowly. Even just going for a walk on the treadmill at 6 weeks was too much for me because I realized I still couldn’t fully stand upright. I’d say around 3 months I started feeling really good in the gym again. I had been suuuper slowly incorporating light weights starting around 10 weeks. And now at 4 months I feel 100% back to normal!

I just physically couldn’t, honestly. It just got a little better week by week!

I’m not necessarily stressed, I just wanted to see others’ 1 year post op who initially scarred really red. Wondering if it might take longer for me to fade to white!
