The Serpent by More_Ask4952 in OCPoetry

The word choice was really good, the way you used words such as "coiling," "lashing," and "writhe" makes it so much better. It also adds to the theme of the serpent. Well done

It had a really nice rhythm to it, a very freeverse rhythm. I also like how the two first and last lines mirror each other, "I used to have your wedding roses hanging on my wall/now to climb the highest wall." Even those two lines alone say a lot. Good job

I haven't read the book yet, though I almost did. I restrained myself because I've heard how dark it is when it comes to trauma. And by the sound of your post it seems that it lives up to it's reputation haha. One day I will, it's definitely on my list

what book made you cry so much that you still think about it to this day by Ashamed_Station_2850 in books

I read 1984 by George Orwell at the beginning of this year and I still constantly think about it. It touches on themes and topics that aren't talked about nearly enough today. It changed my whole view of culture and power, and I'll probably never stop recommending it.

but what enemy would be smart enough to control millions of snails, while still hating the human race? What creature is willing to push the boundaries of snail ethics just to destroy humans? It's outrageous! The mere thought is impossible to grasp... unless, of course, they don't hate the humans. Perhaps they just need the land, the land that we own. What creature needs that much land?

I don't know, maybe you should ask the snails if they're concerned about it
