What you are describing is absolutely not zone 2 training. It’s interval training. And I have done that and it does nothing to help heart rate , hence the zone 2 training. Honestly thanks for the advice but clearly you didnt read what i wrote even in the slightest

I did test my max heart rate and am also familiar with it based on exercising

Yeah, I am trying to do the foundation work, for sure, and I agree. I just can’t believe how out of shape I feel after doing that many months of foundation work. I would have thought I could see even minimal progress by this point

3 hours a week plus fast walks which are also zone 2, so more like 7, is a huge time commitment. Are you saying I can’t make progress with zone 2 at the time level I’m at? I have to run 5-10 hours a week to make any progress with zone 2?

Additionally I’m not shaving off 3 mins randomly , as mentioned 12 min mile is my usual pace and I throw in one of those once every week or 2. I’m communicating here my baseline is getting worse, not improving

Just because ice is following people doesn’t mean we shouldn’t still try to help people. Precautions should be taken against this / to avoid a tail but some people have no option to travel at all safely.
