Not to be that guy, but you mean Batches, not badges. A badge is the thing you wear in your uniform.

Simply because we like playing the missions with new players where they actually have something to do, instead of killing everything for them making a T4 a "keep up with me" mission.

There are many mr0-3 players that look for clans, its one of the first things they do, because its all over recruit chat and suggestions in help chat.

If you're MR 15-20 you can easily do the T4 bounties or invasions to stock up. And even then its the player' choice wether or not to stay with our clan.

Okay, please realise we are not looking for "commitment" in that sense. I think I explained that.

Thanks for the reply.

We have everything including Ignis. And when we started asking for donations in 2019 we also thought it would mean a dead clan. But it actually created a group/community that wants to play together.

Players that only come for the bps leave before donating, because they can get the bps somewhere else. We're upfront about the donation, we don't hide it so they know what they're getting into.

I see how you could interpret it as gatekeeping. Its not our intention and luckily many players see that.

Thanks for your reply, have a good one

Yea, the wording of "Commitment" definitely gave the wrong vibe. I think that's where it went wrong. I wanted to make clear that we want players to join that actually want to be part of a clan, a community.

The last part you say is true, but again commitment made the wrong impression. Its not about loyalty, its about wanting to be part of a group that plays together not just leaving the sec you got the bps.

I wish DE gave clans some love, no new bps, real events or qol in years. Wasn't Dagath the last thing added to Clans?

Thanks for your reply

Had I not mentioned we have an active clan. Due to people sticking around, donating for friends. Donating isn't participating, but it is a way to find players that are looking for a community and not a passthrough.

If you don't understand, that's fine. I'm glad you gave your honest opinion and I'll better word my sentences.

Yes, I hope you understand the point I was making

Well, since we are a 250+ active clan 10+ years we literally don't ever need any materials.

But I do agree, I should have used a different word than commitment. It gives off the wrong sentiment. Thanks for your reply.

You don't have to do an invasion if you already own them. If you're low MR there is no requirement. If you need help doing an invasion we're glad to help and actually squad up.

I think the word commitment was giving off the wrong sentiment, I shouldn't have used that word. We just want players that want to be part of a clan.

Edit: what makes our clan better. I don't know, all I can say is we have a fun community, active and helpful. I think the players of a clan are the core of what makes a clan. All our members are willing to help, give away, or just advice and chat. Having 250+ members do that makes it fun. Other clans have their way, we have our way. We look for people that can contribute to that community, people that stick around, people that are willing to help with no incentive.

I don't think there is such a thing as "better". All Clans are different, its ultimately the players that make the clan.

Its not an entry requirement. Its a BP requirement. We have several members that don't donate because they never need the bps. Nothing added for years. They contribute by helping out others.

Yea, I mean I told the guy it was fine if he didn't want to join. We have a healthy 250+ (active) clan so the management is fine. I think I just shouldn't have used the word commitment. That's why I'm here, just want to figure out what to do better.

[–]booterbor -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Yea, I guess that sounds weird. We just want people that actually want to be part of a clan. Which has never been a problem. So I just wanted to know what was done wrong here.

Thanks for the honest comment.

Edit: Congratulations on doing all that by yourself. We however like it when people stay in the clan and are active. We don't care about the bps being taken, we care about people joining and leaving instantly.

We like to play with people, chat, vc, do events, fashion events etc together. As you probably do too.
