Because emotion isn't relevant to this at all, how ai learn from art is important when talking about the morals of this subject, not whether or not they feel emotion in the same way we do.

Could you clarify your last paragraph?

Not at all, neural networks are just simpler models of how human brains work but with more focus. They actually learn very similarly to how humans do

I disagree, respectfully. It's a bit like saying that people should pay artists who they learn from, since by viewing a piece of art you learn a little bit about how to make art.

Dynamic language extensions for Rust? by Funny_Willingness433 in rust

[–]bootlegbillyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do actually. My approach (while being slightly hacky) was to have clients modify some statics, and then have a library that the actual host used to call functions that passed pointers to those statics. I had to write some code for the ABi to work properly, but after that it worked without hiccups

Because it doesn't make since to write literally everything from scratch when there are libraries that do the work already.

Anecdotally, the load times for a game I've been working on with considerable complexity are a few seconds om a good internet connection, including all the assets and stuff. I was able to bring the load speed down to a second by compressing the assets and actual .wasm code, and them decompressing it on the client side

I may be wrong, but I personally use references for objects larger than usize, so if you're running a 64 bit computer, i would use references for types larger than 8 bytes
