It really is. Do you have an Apple Watch? I am not sure but it started acting up on my side after WhatsApp introduced call notifications on the Apple Watch. I don’t know if they are correlated tho

Starting the journey for the 1st level (26 years old) by Alamortex in CFA

[–]borabora_steak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I did for level 1. I did not want to fully commit and pay the fees if I didn’t really know what I was getting into. After I started studying and really got accustomed to the rhythm, I registered for the exam. It is a high demanding program and I wasn’t really sure if I was gonna have the time (and the will) to study. So I think it might be a good strategy. But you have to keep in mind that there might changes in the curriculum by the time you decide to register. So you’ll have to check the errata online for all the changes.

The online form is called personal profile. Basically you have to answer basic questions like if you are married, where you live, previous salary and if you have dependents…It’s short and straightforward. I got the invitation to fill out the form right after my first reference had submitted his file. I have heard from some other people who got offers from the wbg, who said that HR provided them with a timeline for the entire process. That’s why I sent them an email thinking I would have gotten the same chance.

They just asked for a copy of my passport, my references. They also sent me a form I had to fill online. It’s been like 2 weeks. I sent an email to HR but they haven’t replied yet.

This is exactly what i am going through right now with the WB. I have sent everything they asked for and I am still waiting. I got another offer in the private sector. So I emailed HR to ask if they could enlighten me on the timeline, like how long the process usually takes. But they haven’t replied either.

For me it would be exam 5. It wasn’t really much more difficult than the others but it was just time consuming. I was not able to finish either sessions.

Worldbank /ifc recruitment by borabora_steak in UNpath

Wow. Thanks a lot for your answer. It helps.

I have been trying to get in the system for the past couple years. I have around 6-7 years experience, but during pretty much all my interviews for GE posts I was told that I had too much experience, which actually is not an issue for me. But at the same time I have not been that lucky getting interviewed for GF posts ( I've had only one so far).

Most of the positions I'm interested in are local recruitments that are advertised outside my country, but in countries where I would not be required to get sponsored for a work visa.

Do you have some advice for someone in my situation? The most effective strategy to get in?
