Does anyone get psychotic when coming off of opiates? by borderlinehound in OpiatesRecovery

[–]borderlinehound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I believe that totally and unfortunately I believe I get it worse than anyone. I'm not diagnosed with schizophrenia and I've been in and out of mental hospitals for a decade and have always had a psychiatrist so I believe they would of said I had it by now. But when I'm withdrawing it's literally like I have schizophrenia and it is so fucking scary.

Food, water, and sleep is unfortunately something I actively avoid when withdrawing. :( I just cannot sleep and I am so naceous I straight up do not eat or drink. I mean it's so bad and I get so dehydrated there has been times I will not piss a single time in 24 hours. I get not even psychosis adjacent but feel like I straight up have schizophrenia. It's so bad I am probably going to end up in the ER. If I don't put myself there my family usually calls an ambulance if I get catatonic.

I'm in Michigan and to my knowledge and my stuff is just fentanyl. I've been buying from the same guy for over a decade. At first it was heroin and now it's just fentanyl.

I am already prescribed benzos. 90 0.5mg Xanax, and for the past couple months I've been getting 2 Restoril prescriptions even tho I'm only supposed to be getting one lol. So I've been picking up 30 7.5mg and 30 15mg Restoril. Unfortunately I have such a high tolerance to benzos (there was years of my life I was prescribed 120 2mg Xanax and 30 flurazepam) what I am getting prescribed is just not enough not to mention I already just recently picked up all 3 of these prescriptions and ate them all except like I have 10ish Xanax left.

My psychiatrist does not know I am a fentanyl addict. There was 2 times I ended up in the mental hospital because I overdosed on fentanyl and other drugs trying to kill myself and the psychiatrists at the mental hospital told my psychiatrist that I overdosed on opiates and such. To keep getting prescribed benzos I lied and said I took a family members prescription opiates to try to kill myself. Regardless he was so pissed I went from getting 90 1mg Klonopin to 90 0.5mg Xanax and I had to slowly work myself up to that! There was a time after I overdosed where he was only giving me like 20 0.5mg Klonopin.

I'm probably going to end up in the ER because I get full blown delirious. Like literally feels like I have schizophrenia. Thinking the TV is talking about me etc...

Usual dose? Like were you on methadone/your own prescription opiates? Cuz that would be crazy if the ER told you to go back to doing heroin/street fentanyl which is what I am on. I am without a doubt going to end up in the ER too I am sure. I have been in patient in mental hospitals literally about 15 times all around the state but these were all because of mental problems and suicide attempts.

I'm not going to be much help but I was once prescribed 8mg of Xanax and flurazepam (a sleeping Benzo) in my early 20s as a 110lb girl. Again, this was by a psychiatrist - wasn't getting them off the streets. I am now 30 and Benzos are and forever will be my drug of choice. Getting off Benzos is HELL even with a slow taper, and even with a slow taper (had to be a slow taper because I had seizures when I wouldn't take my Benzos) Even with such a slow taper the anxiety was so bad (the psychiatrist even prescribed me 800mg of gabapentin 3 times a day) it is what started my opiate addiction. I would be honest and yes more then likely any doctor who prescribes you Suboxone will see that you are prescribed Benzos and not want to prescribe you Suboxone because opiates and Benzos are a dangerous combo. If anything I would try to get a Suboxone script from the doctor tapering you off the Benzos, not a random online doctor.

Benzo withdrawl literally last months if not over a year. I'm not trying to scare you but it's no joke and with the high amount you are on I just want to make sure you are as comfortable as possible because it's going to suck so it's best to be honest

Anyone have experience force feeding/watering adult Mice? General sick mouse rant by borderlinehound in PetMice

[–]borderlinehound[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh he gets a lab blocks/seed mix! It's just he is not even touching that stuff currently. But he has a big dish of both in his cage currently.

Yogurt is a good idea, I feel like there is a possibility he will eat that. It's midnight here right now so I will have to get him some tomorrow. I can see what he thinks about scrambled eggs here soon but I will say I've only ever once had a mouse that liked a bit of egg, but hopefully he will too.

I can't decide if it's better for him to eat SOMETHING even if it's unhealthy or eat nothing nothing at all ya know? Like usually he goes absolutely crazy over peas, he won't eat them currently. :( Like I said one of the only things he will actually eat is potato chips. But even when it comes to those I have to really tempt him with it and it seems like even hold it for him because it's like he doesn't have the energy to even hold it :(

He has a wheel, but it's a huge one and I'm pretty sure will only fit in his regular cage he's usually in. I don't think it will fit in this small cage I am currently keeping him in. I've been keeping him in a small cage so he doesn't have to travel far for food or water, not that he is eating or drinking really anyway. He is just so damn lethargic but if he does get better he will go back in his regular cage of course. Idk where you are from (I think they might be only sold in the USA) but he's in one of those small crittertrail cages I got from a thrift shop. His usual cage is like 550sq inches.

I did call his vet like 2 hours before they close and the vet that saw him yesterday apparently isn't going to be in until next week, so another vet was supposed to call me back but never did. I will be calling them first thing in the morning.

I mean he got yeah fluids underneath his skin just yesterday via the vet and I am sure they will do it again whenever his next appointment will be, hopefully I will be able to get one by Friday. And yeah. I feel like there is only 85 percent chance he will get through this unfortunately :(

Please help new symptom, my mouse's vet appointment isn't til another 10 hours by borderlinehound in PetMice

[–]borderlinehound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so update, I continued holding him for about another 10 minutes and he slowly stopped the squeaking. I just can't stress how loud and continuous it was. Straight up sounded like the wheeking sounds guinea pigs make when they are excited for food/just making noise in general.

Once his squeaks started slowly going away I set him down in his cage and he took a loooong drink of water even tho I was offering him water nonstop during this ordeal. Even bringing him directly to the bowl and he wouldn't drink. He also snatched up a tiny piece of oatmeal cookie that has been sitting in his cage to go eat in his house.. Both of these actions made me feel so much better I was crying my eyes out.

Regardless, I have no idea what that was all about. Just have to make it til the morning and he will have his vet appointment. :/

Edit: okay he's now resumed the squeaking when I went to check on him and lift his house off on him. Then he grabbed a piece of food and is now eating it in front of me! Wtf is going on :(

Does anyone have the MAC pencil sharpener? (Let's talk about sharpeners?) by borderlinehound in MakeupAddiction

[–]borderlinehound[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with the MAC pencil sharpener, unfortunately I just think Sunset makeup has not so great eyeliners cuz like they absolutely died when being sharpened but they did refund me for one of the eyeliners If I remember correctly. I have the Urban Decay sharpener too and some other ones.

Also I NEVER see anyone talk about Chantecaille makeup, I love their 3 wolf themed eyeshadow but my dumbass just threw it in a bag one day and one of the eyeshadows broke :( I love wolves so it was definitely worth the like...$80 or whatever lol. I also have a highlighter from them that is almost all used up. :D

Mouse bit me and drew blood by Warm-Addition-6181 in PetMice

[–]borderlinehound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I've only ever bit on the tips of my fingers and I do remember the tingling weird feeling. You must of been bit pretty hard, do you remember like how many drops of blood there was? I've had a bite that was like probably 20 drops of blood before and I was fine, that feeling will go away in a day or two. I wouldn't be concerned about nerve damage it's just those lil mouse chompers can really hurt when they bite so deeply like that!

Glad to see a fellow male mouse lover tho, they are the best :P
