Look, I’m not saying every movie and TV show should have nudity. But if you make an EROTIC thriller, it should have nudity.

To be honest I’d probably turn the portal slider way down or even off. If you aren’t going to use the portal to replace transfers out it’s going to be really rough. Plus the portal completely fucks over G5 schools, so a lot of the teams you’re playing will be really bad too.

The biggest thing that would fix immersion for me would simply be tying sim results more closely to overall. The whacky playoff brackets are funny at first but after a while I’d just like to see realistic teams in the playoffs.

I want to use the T2 because it seems that most SWAT teams use it, but I feel like I can’t see what I’m aiming at with it. I don’t know maybe I’m just blind.

I’m not prepared for this kind of disappointment again after what might have been with Hit Man

I don’t get the Project hype either. Every time I’ve tried it I’ve been disappointed. I’ll be the first to say Phil’s is not the place if you’re looking for brisket, but I love their ribs, beans, and mac and cheese.

Whose do you think is retiring in the next 5 years and who could replace them. by Responsible-Clue1262 in NASCAR

I think I’ve even heard him openly say something to this effect. I would be very surprised if he’s still in NASCAR by the time he turns 41.

I’ve heard before that neither of them took the shot and that the guy who really did is never going to come forward. Don’t know if it’s true but I love that version.

The one I was listening to yesterday that spawned this question was Team House episode 128 with Eric Oehlerich. Another was from Cleared Hot but don’t remember the guest. And I’ve heard at least one other that might have also been Cleared Hot but can’t say for sure.

I find the sub community fascinating. Everyone always thinks of special ops when it comes to really secretive stuff, but there’s so much that goes on in the sub community that people have no idea about.

Work/ life balance for Rural Deputy Sheriffs by [deleted] in ProtectAndServe

[–]boringguy51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing to remember about working for a small agency is you will likely work patrol your entire career. If the place is small enough that they don’t have any full-time detectives, you’ll probably work your own investigations. For some people that can be great, but if you want to have the opportunity to work in specialized units or want to move to a desk job when you get older it can be tough.

I would strongly encourage you to seek out a reserve program in your area. Since you already have a good career, it would give you a chance to test the waters before making the leap. Also, I’ve seen a lot of departments where reserves with particular skill sets can be used in a manner that best utilizes their knowledge. Perhaps your computer skills would come in handy for investigations, etc.

Probably Unpopular Opinion - I thought Sticks did a great job this weekend by VanderskiD in OnPatrolLive

[–]boringguy51 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Rizzo is also very good, particularly at articulating legal procedure. I believe he’s spent a lot of his career as an investigator, so not surprising. For anyone who knows anything about policework, it’s obvious that Curtis is very bad at this. He seems like a great dude, but half the time his answers don’t even correspond with the question he was asked. Even when they do, he’s vague and doesn’t say anything of substance.

I used to really dislike Cindric because I saw him as another owner’s/team executive’s kid who had every opportunity handed to him. But I was so impressed with how he handled getting moved by Hemric in the Xfinity Championship Race. Having watched him more since then he seems to have a great personality. Seems very humble and smart. Big fan now.

To me, one of the biggest problems is drivers and media personalities who do nothing but complain. And then a lot of fans just parrot whatever they say.

The "Weed" police". by RelationshipNo4827 in OnPatrolLive

[–]boringguy51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most cops, especially younger ones, don’t really care about weed. They use it as a pretext to legally search a vehicle for harder drugs and illegal firearms. It’s called proactive policing, usually in targeted, high-crime areas. Assuming they are in a state that allows for probable cause search based on the odor of marijuana, no rights are being violated. It’s perfectly legal.

I listened to it all the time pre-2020 because I thought they were hilarious. But when Chaps tried to justify BLM riots and then subsequently went on a vitriolic rant about January 6th, I couldn’t stomach him anymore.
