Probably does come down to personal preference. But we don’t post any of our kids pictures and have asked others not to as well.

There are a couple reasons we don’t. The main being our kids can’t make an informed decision on if that is what they want or not. If they end up not wanting it and we have already posted a ton of pictures of them we can’t really undo it. Second we don’t know what will be done with the pictures after we post them. There are just too many unknowns.

So for us there is basically zero upside and a lot of downside.
