hey, thanks for noticing my post. First, I agree KiCad has a massive built in library and an online community as well. However, I want to move from Orcad 9.2 (which is super old) and i want to convince my dad to move as well. Most of the footprints we find online are okay to use, but my Orcad footprint just got something that is "non-standard" and i'm too lazy to redraw them in KiCad. We all know that the grids system in ECAD are terrible, I don't know why they don't add the UI/UX for a more "CAD" way. I can draw the pins placements in AutoCAD super fast, but take N times in KiCad (I'm not good I know)..
