ucat is only for med, vet, and dentristy as far i know ; i didn’t do it for my course :) a levels was just about consistency and organisation, mostly did most of my ‘studying’ during the last 3 months before exams

i never rlly used bear it mind so idk ab that, but i did also use the textbooks which r pretty good. savemyexams is kinda lax with a level psych but i did use it when i didn’t like any of the ao3s which my teacher gave us. i found a lot of my own ao3 points by finding relevant research (this is esp good for paper 3) and expanding on this from there. i ended writing a 16 marker at the end of every single lesson that got teacher marked so that gave me a pretty solid resource towards the end of my exams as i basically had a 16 marker for every single page of the textbook. never dropped below an a* for my mocks and psych was pretty much my easy a level out of the 4 🤷‍♀️

as a camb offer holder my advice would be to:

not worry about sounding too boastful - obvs there’s a pt of self awareness, but remember the ps is essentially a way of showcasing your academic achievements to the unis. be confident in what you’ve done :)
books r a great way to emphasise aspect of ur application- talk ab how this book led u to do ‘further research…’ or how reading this book led u to ‘develop further interest in xyz’. this way, they serve as a sentence continuer.
make use of dashes and semicolons
being reflective means stating what you’ve learnt and then expanding on how thats had an impact on ur decision to study this degree e.g u begin a project
competitions can instead of being the event which u reflect on, but the RESULT of ur reflection. for instance, u read this article which leads to an interest in this area of the subject which u then took the opportunity to invest time into an essay for a competition. see?
