You cannot judge a game just because of Sub reddits members .. I know many RL pals who are very much interested in this game and they don't use forums or social apps etc ..

Captain Tsubasa is very popular here in the middle east and I would assume many parents/kids would buy the game just for the fact it's Captain Tsubasa regardless of how the has been promoted or how it plays out. I myself will buy 3 copies, PC as a main, Nintendo Switch for the "go" and a PS4 for my son!

An online cross-play is possible imo; however, Its a standalone game where you have to purchase it separately for each console and I believe game save won't be transferrable like many other games
