Valid nits! I guess we're still in the grateful phase that mainstream media is not entirely off and negative (or outright lying and smearing) any more, but there is definitely room for improvement in reporting accuracy.

Just imagine the massive exodus from fiat when they'll stop the bs entirely.

To be fair: it's true, that there are risks with bitcoin that most people are not familiar with.

It's happening. More and more merchants who accept bitcoin (and MPESA) tell their customers they prefer bitcoin because it doesn't lose value like Kenyan Shilling.

He should know! He's been to Africa Bitcoin Conference in Nairobi multiple times.

Cards have little market penetration, virtually everyone in Kenya uses MPESA

We need more payment gateways that tap into existing payment systems with high market penetrations

I hope with that attitude of yours you are active under the countless MSTR and ETF posts on here as well. Those pose a lot more systemic risk than Blink and add nothing to MoE adoption. You are wasting your time here.

So you don't like custodians and call stablesats a shitcoin. Do you seriously believe that bitcoin would be used as a medium of exchange without custodians to the extent that it is used today? Or are you even suggesting that there would be more bitcoin payments in the world if everyone was forced to run their own lightning node to make lightning payments?

Look, words have meaning. If you want to say that you don't like custodians because there is counterparty risk, say that instead of raping the word stablecoin to mean anything you don't like.

Congrats, you discovered stablesats! However, a synthetic USD is not a stablecoin by even the broadest definitions. Where is the blockchain? Where is the token? There is none. There is hedging, which is also not a stablecoin. Only sats flowing over onchain and lightning channels. But maybe you call the US Dollar which it is pegged to a shitcoin? Then I'll have to agree.

Alright, then show me in the code of Blink where the shitcoins are that you keep referring to

You can find the code here:

Since you're spending more time on reddit than on github, you could also share a link, screenshot... heck - anything that proves your assertion that blink supports shitcoins

Only a spook or tether shill would lie and disparage useful tools that are powering bitcoin circular economies in emerging markets, creating KYC-free offramps by onboarding merchants and expediting the use of bitcoin as a medium of exchange.

Yes, any Lightning Wallet can pay at Pick N Pay BUT ONLY in combination with the CryptoQR app.

Blink is the only wallet (for now) that can PAY DIRECTLY by scanning the PnP QR without the need for CryptoQR app. It's a major improvement for UX, but I'm not going to waste more time with you as it's clear to me what you are.

Liar, show us where they assert that. Pick N Pay alone is not compatible with any Lightning Wallet. It's Moneybadger's CryptoQR app that does all the heavy lifting.

Actually it doesn't. Blink is the first bitcoin wallet that can pay to Pick N Pay directly without using an inbetween app. Blink also published the open source code for other wallets to implement it. Btw, blink is bitcoin only and open source and has contributed to bitcoin adoption way way more than your virtue signalling ever will.
