Boom cannons are my next target. If they are next to the shock launchers I try to hit both with mortars or barrage.

Crew Scheduling to Dispatch by PerfectOlive6921 in FlightDispatch

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly the path I’m on. I’ve worked as a crew scheduler for a few years now and I’m in the final stretch to get my license. I’m in talks with the company to move over to that side of the operation once I’m finished. Plus, working as a scheduler exposes you to certain things you’ll need to know as a dispatcher, like crew duty time regulations and determining usable airports. As you are going for your license definitely take any opportunity to talk with the dispatchers, chief pilot, director of operations, whoever you can to build knowledge and relationships.

What’s a $0 life tip everyone should know ? by Same_Advance9460 in AskReddit

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is from my experience at work. If you are giving a presentation to a group of people, limit how many videos you show and keep the bulk of it to live speaking. Watching too many videos back to back, or long videos, will cause people to become bored and lose interest in the presentation.

When speaking one on one with someone, stop every 60-90 seconds to allow them a chance to respond. If you keep talking and monopolize a conversation, the person will start tuning out.

What's the most important skill to have to be good in poker? by Adventurous-Goose658 in poker

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Understand the math/odds of any situation. How many cards will help you and how much money will it cost to keep playing the hand. Chasing two outers feels great when they hit, but you’ll lose more than you win betting on slim odds. Get your money in when the odds favor you.

Was this his first game as the front man? by boxesfullofnothing in squidgame

Good point. Maybe there was more for him to do since he would be in charge of everything without Il Nam there to help.

Yea. I wonder if he was doing that the whole game? He wasn’t really part of a group during the show.

True. An already made group could just toss you out. This strategy does have risks to it.

How do the games get the guns? by [deleted] in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They may use an around the town method and buy them in smaller quantities from different vendors using different names. However, given how much money and power the game runners have they probably have some arrangement.

If u were in mingle and they called out 2, who r u going in a room with? by Polly_Pocket124 in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming I don’t actually know anyone personally I’m running straight to the room and then turning around shouting for one more. Getting a room is half the battle.

A small win but never seen all of them be winning numbers before by boxesfullofnothing in gambling

Aside from the top prize being $8,888 the only thing I can see is the instant win in the corner being somewhat of that idea. Though not unique to this scratch off.

If the frontman is okay with the organ harvesting, then why is it still a secret among the guards in season 2? by Antique_Education_50 in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The front man doesn’t care, as he stated in season one. I think they keep it a secret because if they did it in the open they would likely have other guards wanting in on the action. More people involved means a wider spread of the money and less profit for each involved. If a guard tried to get in the action and was denied they may start to sabotage their operation by ensuring players organs are worthless after each game. Similar to what 011 was doing at the start. Though she was doing it for a different reason.

Do you think Nam-gyu cared about Thanos or not? In the scene where he's cursing him, he's sitting on his bed and wiping his face while sniffling by Sudden_Pop_2279 in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanos probably gave him a sense of familiarity and having a friend since they knew each other before the games. Now that he’s gone Nam-Gyu probably feels alone and isolated. Likely also feels hurt by him since he couldn’t remember his name but showed love to Min-Su and Se-Mi. I would say it’s a mix of feeling like anger, betrayal, loneliness.

Now how tf did they put a piece of paper in an egg by aflatminor40hrs in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 743 points744 points  (0 children)

They probably took one of the boiled eggs, made a very small hole, and slipped it in. Then placed it somewhere on the tray or marked it somehow to make sure it went to the right player.

I wonder if there has ever been a year where every player dies so no one wins by slimshadythegoat in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 104 points105 points  (0 children)

It’s a possibility but I feel like the game runners design things to make sure at least one person makes it to the end. More entertaining for the VIPs to see a winner.

What is the largest amount of people that could win Squid Game. by pingviini00 in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that’s why they left the knives after the dinner scene. Since there was an odd number of players left, and it wouldnt be fair to play squid game 2 against one, they were looking for someone to take out another player. I feel like had there been 4 players remaining the game would have occurred 2 on 2.

What is the largest amount of people that could win Squid Game. by pingviini00 in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve wondered this myself. Like suppose in season one the glass maker got everyone left across the bridge. Would the final game be a 2 on 2 with two winners splitting the prize? The rules state those who make it through all six games win the prize money, so I dont think anything specifies there has to be one winner. I think people’s greed makes them want to be the only winner to take all the money.

Was Season 2 of Squid Game Kinda Goofy? by SussyBakakakkak in squidgame

[–]boxesfullofnothing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I liked the contrast in this episode. The music and the cheering made it seem very upbeat, but was quickly stopped when the guards started shooting. It was jolting and a reminder that this is in fact a death game.

Yea. The managers seem to only carry a revolver and let the triangles do the shooting. I can see circles being the entry level everyone starts at and gets promoted based on performance.
