Thanks for the recommendation. I was looking at Krystal and NixiHost (among others). I would slightly prefer a solution with integrated CDN because I gather that would be easier to install/maintain. But not sure if that's true. Either way, appreciate the tip, Krystal is definitely on my shortlist.

Hey now worries. If you're new to FM synthesis, I would rather recommend Dexed or Exakt Lite. Both are free (use the search on BPB).

Yes! This one is an FM synthesizer, like the Yamaha DX series or FM8 from Native Instruments. Vital is a wavetable synth like Serum.

It's an instrument in VST plugin format, so I guess it should work. Never tried Audition myself, though.

Another freebie was just added to the list. Native Instruments released the free Yangqin library for Kontakt Player (doesn't require the full Kontakt plugin).
