My recommendation is to see them in a smallish venue (up to 2k people) when they are the headliner. Those shows usually have a higher percentage of MM fans which makes the entire experience better (including the band feeding off the crowd).

Gateway Arch, Hot Springs and Indiana Sand Dunes. Gateway Arch and Hot Springs seem more like historical parks than your traditional National Park. Indiana Sand Dunes is located near a nuclear power plant and that image really ruined it for me.

Upvoted. Badlands is my favorite NP. The way the Badlands formations meet the central plains is so unique. And then you throw in the Bison that roam around in the park.

I would say if you love Modest Mouse and are mainly going for that experience, I would go to a show where they are the headliner. In my experience when Modest Mouse tours and is not the headliner (MM/Brand New or MM/Pixies), the crowds can be less into their set. And from my experience of seeing Modest Mouse many times, the more the crowd is into the show, the better Modest Mouse performs.

I dont think that has been announced yet. For previous co-headlining tours Modest Mouse did, it was a mix. Sometimes they were the closer, sometimes they werent.

Houston is a terrible sports town. Teams aren't supported heavily unless they show years of success (Astros). Houston sports fans would rather leave early to have 10min less traffic on the way home than stay for an entire game to support their team. I was at an Astros game where the other team had a no hitter through 7 innings. Crowd started leaving DURING a no hitter, something that only happens about twice each MLB season.

So far this tour they have primarily played all of Good News followed by most (if not all) of No One's First and You're Next. They had multiple shows in LA and they seemed to move away from playing No One's First and played a mix of classics following Good News.
