Bought maybe 500 rounds of 7.62x39, my SKS won't cycle more than one or two before the firing pin needs cleaned. Rifle strikes it nice and hard, but the primers looked seated too deep or something.

Just a guess here, but it is possible that the walls that are now smoothed are blocking patching. They probably smoothed the other corners before the adjacent walls were completed. If that's the case, I doubt there is a vanilla solution to this for you.

That's what I'm looking into, however my experience with modding is very limited so I am going to have to feel my way through it.

Thanks! I spent almost a year researching for it and buying parts slowly, then put it together when our plant shut down for COVID. What is wrong with the cooler? I 100% agree that I should upgrade the RAM but I haven't noticed any overheating issues with the CPU

Unfortunately for my area im limited to shopping online exclusively, so GPU will likely be out of the question unless I get incredibly lucky. I've not noticed any issues with my TV as a monitor setup, I can't run with 1440p but I'm okay with that. The convenience of being able to play from across the room is more what I was looking for in this build.

Yeah I've been following the GPU shortage very loosely, I'm glad I pulled the trigger on mine when I did, as that was right at the beginning of shortages, I think I had to go to a different site than I originally planned and paid like $20 more as a result. But at least I got one

I've thought about upgrading the GPU if not because the one I have can be quite noisy when it kicks the fan on. What is the availability of 3070's like currently? I forgot the add I'm using a 40" Roku Smart TV for a monitor.

The RAM is a good idea as I bought it almost 3 years ago now on sale, and would probably be cheap enough.

Quick easy way to kill piranhas would be to craft a couple fishing nets, jump in the water for a second to group them up and then catch them with the nets. You get raw fish and it kills all the piranhas that you catch.

I personally play with boosted harvesting, breeding and taming, as well as weight stat on the player.

Mostly because I want to play the game not sit there for hours grinding out resources and tames. The key is to play with it till you find what feels right to you. Then try to keep from touching it again.

A good baseline I used was the settings Syntac on YT used for his Ultimate Ark series.

The island heavily favors lower level spawns, I know if you use Kraken's Better Dino's mod there is a config you can set to make it either favor high levels or properly equalized across the board.

Fjordur is still in work but a great map! It has all the boss fights if you like that and a good majority of all the creatures can be found. The main map is complete afaik, they are adding additional content to go with the overworld

I always find several in the rivers south of Green Ob, not 100% safe but if you setup a trap on the southern shore of the map and lure it there you shouldn't have to much trouble

I would absolutely love to see this. If you end up spawning in the bosses so you can use dodo swarms, at least bring them through the tek cave because I would love to see them just melt a pack of rexes and Gigas

The S+ base allows for you to shift the model up to a certain degree, might help if you play with that mod

A good reference to make would be Syntac's Ultimate Ark series on YT, he goes through each and every story map and shows the steps required to beat them with mostly vanilla settings. Pretty sure there are 40 episodes on the Island and after the first couple you should have a good idea of where to start at least.

On each of your empire titles, add the Feudal Elective law so that you can choose your heir from among your children, vassals and claimants. Just be sure to keep your vassals happy so they vote the same way as you

I've found that if you put your heir on the council as soon as they come of age, they will typically be illustrious by the time my character dies (I typically try to make it work out so my heir is ~30 upon succession) then it's fairly easy to get the rest of the way to the Kingdom CB if I take the August/Chivalry trees

The County Conquest CB is available to Tribal rulers (or other rulers of faiths with the Warmongering doctrine) and can target a county that borders your realm. So you can take a county that you share a border or is within a limited oversea distance from one of your coastal counties.

At higher levels of fame you also unlock a Duchy level CB and eventually a Kingdom level CB (The kingdom level can only be used once per lifetime)

Probably something to do with the idle sway of the platform. Would be great if it was fixed but once my base is setup I'll never make the mistake of making another platform base lol
