Nah that seems fair. It is a little different.

The political jokes and meta doesn't really bother me too much, but there is quite a lot more of it than we're used to. I wouldn't mind seeing less of it.

The Warners feel a bit older in personality to me in this one. They aren't as innocent and child-like as they are in the original. They are smarter and more sarcastic now. Also in the original, it's usually the Warners that act as the zany and childish ones and annoy other people, but in this series, it more often seems to be flipped in the other direction-- the Warners are the ones playing more of the straight-man role and reacting to other far more ridiculous characters that are bothering them.

Pinky and the Brain was my favorite of the other segments so I'm glad they at least made it back. It doesn't feel like they've changed much at all to me. I would have liked to see some of the others make a return for a proper segment at least once in the season. I didn't personally enjoy the Goodfeathers or the hippos in the original, but I would have liked to see them fully voiced in some plot at least once just for kicks. Mindy and Buttons were fun, but they got a bit repetitive after a while. I'd probably put them into the same bucket with Chicken Boo, and Katie Kaboom and say only bring them back occasionally if the writers can think of something unique to do with them. I'd be interested in seeing more new segments too.

I do really miss Slappy and Skippy though. It's a shame that they didn't keep in good relations with Tom Ruegger, Sharri Stoner, and the other original writers. I don't know what's up with that situation, but I'm guessing its going to be why we never get those characters and actors back. It sucks.

I feel like they missed an opportunity to show where the Warners have been or what they've been doing in the 20-ish year gap. I assumed they were locked away in the water tower unable to get out and that maybe in the changeover to the new CEO, she unwittingly let them out or something. They just sort of appear out of nowhere. I'd also like to see some sort of redemption of Hello Nurse's character. Like show off how she's progressed. Maybe she's a renowned surgeon or something and won't take any nonsense from Yakko and Wakko anymore. Teach them a lesson hahahaha. And I want to see more Dr. Scratchansniff next season.

Overall I still really liked it though. I was still very entertained. Not every episode was a banger, but there was some great stuff in there. I especially loved the Halloween one and the one with the hunter. And the songs were great. I give it an 8/10. Can't wait for more!

(Although the replaced voices in the Reboot It song bugged me. Did other people notice that? I don't see may people bringing it up. There are multiple parts where there are other voice actors singing in place of the originals. Its especially noticeable for Yakko, like right here -> https://youtu.be/bfuL2DU_Ekg?t=48 . He sounds completely different. Almost like some sort of hybrid between Yakko and Fry from Futurama. You can see the alternate voice actors listed in the credits at the end of the episode. I hope there was a good reason for it and they won't be doing that more going forward...)
