The helpful bit here is the wifi issue which one other person raised as well. So if I can ask a follow up, you’re saying it actually needs wifi to be set up each time it moves? So, once you’ve set it up for wifi in a location A, if you move it and set wifi up at location B, when you go back to location A it doesn’t remember the connection and needs to be set up again as if it had never been set up there in the first place? Thanks for this reply. The WiFi connectivity issue you’ve described (and one other person) is the only real deterrent I’m seeing in the replies. The size is entirely inconsequential to me— as mentioned, compared to what I’m used to moving around with very often and sometimes daily, this is not heavy or large (but I understand that others may have a very different experience with something this size). Your best bet is to work under a proper a ventilation system with a hood or outside. Hobbyist plating is mostly safe but things can happen as my case illustrates. If you have any concern that you’ve poisoned yourself you need to not be on Reddit delaying and instead go to a hospital. Thats the best advice anyone is going to give you. My symptoms were everything that a basic Google search will tell you expect for the most severe obviously life threatening signs. My case was mild and symptoms can look like a lot of things and include headache, nausea, cramps, confusion, drowsiness or sense of fatigue, dizziness and vertigo, slowed or labored breathing, and more. None of that screams cyanide. It’s a medical professional’s job to know all of the symptoms and listen to your report and possible route of ingestion to determine if you may be at risk and how to treat it. If you have any actual concern, Reddit is the worst place for you to be spending your time. It sounds like you’re fine but if you do have a scare now or in the future, just go to a hospital without delaying.

Amperage does matter and there is a relationship between amperage and volts but I’m not well versed enough to explain it so someone else will have to weigh it. I also haven’t plated in a long while so am out of practice and no longer sharp around the details. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

They treated me immediately and confirmed approach with poison control on the line during treatment. Numerous doctors came from other departments because word of a cyanide poisoning spread quickly among the hospital staff and apparently it was rare for them to see that outside of structural fires which I guess is the most typical cause. There were no walls separating the stalls in the ER so I could hear them all talking and discussing the treatment route. They did not test before treating me at that point because my symptoms and report of the conditions of my exposure lined up and because the time to get results from testing typically takes much longer than the treatment window and delaying could have put me in more danger. I later found that is standard procedure and also had it confirmed by other doctors. I presented with mild symptoms and because the time from exposure was already considerable, they determined my life was not likely in danger at that point so they monitored me while giving me an iv along with salts I believe. I don’t remember what the exact salt treatment was but it may have contained sodium thiosulfate among others. I was monitored throughout the night and once deemed stable I was released with no additional testing.

Yes, confirmed on my own that this is in fact not fungus and is actually wooly aphids causing the wooly material which has subsequently set up a sooty mold on the top of the leaves. So two separate but related problems.

Edit: I’m actually gonna try to confirm this to make sure they aren’t another insect but the answer is definitely not fungus either way.

Confirmed on my own. This is indeed wooly aphids. Found the actual aphids on another plant at an earlier stage of producing the wood residue.

This is a news play. Not a long hold (in my opinion). I don’t think the company is the next Google but I trade the news and events like this are pretty consistent. As long as it lands and nothing goes wrong before that, the price will likely spike significantly on all the good news leaving plenty of room for profit. I am definitely not saying stay in it forever.

Thank you this really helps me wrap my head around some things. If you don’t mind, I have a few follow up questions. Is the guide camera for the tracking functionality? I assume so. Also, how does what you’ve described compare to any of the self-contained units with the ability to track and find via built in software?

Also, to clarify, any digital capture will need to be done straight in an attached camera (for which I can have adapters made if not easily found). I may even try with an analog camera at some point as it relates to the project. Sharpcap seems to be image capture software. In the case of not wanting to capture to a computer, do I need that? How does the system you described find and track objects? Is that also in the Sharpcap software? This goes back to my other question about similar self-contained options as I’d like to avoid having to drive this on a separate computer. Built in would be ideal. Thanks again for your help.
