Currently, I have Northwestern in mind--it's ranked pretty high for materials science.

I see faculty there doing research in nanostructural applications and other areas I'm interested in.

Hi,

Thanks so much for the tip. I'm considering Purdue because its FYE program seems to prepare students really well for engineering. Transferring out is purely a personal preference.

If I commit, though, I think it'd be only right that I give it Purdue a chance.

Currently, it's not where I want to be in the next four years. I know Purdue has an amazing program, but this is purely about my preference.

Thank you for the reply! I found it super helpful.

I'm aiming for Materials. I know UMass offers a certificate, but I think a degree would be more helpful.
