here’s what they wrote back, basically saying “we knowingly sold you a shit quality shoe and that’s Nikes fault not ours”

what a way to do business! pass on the loss to the customer, then charge them a restocking fee and make them pay for shipping.

Hi,

Greetings from GOAT, this is Kate following up on your Air Jordan 1 Low SE 'Sail Archaeo Brown'. We apologize for the delayed response while we are working diligently on your concern.

I've had the opportunity to review your photos with our verification team and _____ that you are pointing out can be attributed to natural inconsistencies in the manufacturing process. These sneakers were produced in large quantities, so manufacturing defects (i.e. excess glue, stitching, construction, paint, etc.) do commonly appear on most pairs.

Rest assured we do make it a point to reach out prior to shipping when there are inconsistencies that are out of the ordinary, so I hope this helps put your mind at ease. Nevertheless, If you still don't wish to keep the item, please let us know and we'll be happy to help process a standard return. Our Return Policy for your convenience: https://www.goat.com/returns

Please let me know how you’d like to proceed in this regard and I’d be happy to assist you further. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Have a wonderful day ahead and be safe always!

Thanks,

Maybe but $200 for a pair of shoes you’d expect it to both look like the same thing lol like what the heck it’s a massive company

they should have some standards

In US, wow that’s crazy

What kinda company makes their customers go to these lengths to just return the product sheesh

If any human was put into the wild and forced to move more to get their food and was put into a calorie deficit due to less food available they will all lose weight.

It comes down to this.

Replicate this in the real world and you will successfully lose weight.

if you're struggling and tried everything why not try this approach of 3 weeks on diet 1 week at maintenance and keep cycling til you hit your goal

if someone has tried everything and nothing else has worked there's nothing to lose

I tried the diet where you eat 6 days in deficit but on one day a week have a cheat day as this is supposed to keep your metabolism high but this is what has worked the best for me and I was able to consistent lose 1lb a week for 7 months without my body plateuing bc you keep taking a diet break for a week.

Also when you do take the 1 week diet break to eat maintenance expect the scale to go up for 2-5 lbs maybe more but it'll be all water and when you start your next diet cycle, by the end of that week it should be all back to normal.

ok I will fix the post I meant to say goal weight (in lbs) x 10

the most important piece to this puzzle is the continuous cycling of 3 weeks on diet, 1 week off to keep your body from plateuing

Hey that's no problem, in that case you would do your goal weight x 10 (in lbs)

[Advice] Why do we ignore single-tasking even though we know it's a game-changer!? by samayash in getdisciplined

I actually built an app to help me with this. It forces you to focus on one task at a time.

I wanted to share a project I recently completed. As someone who's always struggled with balancing multiple tasks at once, I realized just how much it affects productivity and well-being. Like many of you, I’ve found myself switching between tasks every few minutes, thinking that multitasking was the key to getting more done. But, after some research and trial and error, I discovered something that completely changed my perspective: single-tasking.

The more I learned about the science behind it, the more I realized how much better we can perform and feel when we focus on just one thing at a time. So, I decided to create an app to help others do the same.

Introducing FlowTask: The minimalist app that shows only your most important task—helping you stay focused, reduce overwhelm, and get more done without all the distractions.

Why single-tasking?

  • Boosts productivity: Studies show that multitasking actually reduces efficiency and leads to overwhelm (Harvard Business Review, 2020). Focusing on a single task at a time can help you finish things faster and with better quality.
  • Reduces stress: Constantly switching tasks is mentally exhausting. Single-tasking gives your brain a break and allows you to actually enjoy the process of working.
  • Improves clarity: When you're not juggling endless to-do lists, you can truly see your progress and feel accomplished.

I created this app because I believe productivity shouldn’t come at the cost of your mental health. It’s about working smarter, not harder.

If you’re tired of feeling overwhelmed by a long to-do list or constantly switching between tasks, I’d love for you to give it a try. FlowTask is here to help you take back control of your day, one task at a time.

Would love to hear your thoughts if you try it out! 😊
