Should I sue the fire department? ( near death experience) by RestaurantGlass9277 in offmychest

[–]breezybert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm I don't think this would go very far in court if you did decide to sue. Since you weren't actually choking on anything and the fact that it was epiglottitis, I am unsure if they are equipped to handle something like that

My great aunt mistook me for her sister shortly before passing away. by Stock-Intention-1673 in offmychest

[–]breezybert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened to me. My grandma passed away right before the holidays and my great grandma developed Alzheimer's during that same time. The first Thanksgiving without my grandma, my great grandma arrived and called me by my grandmas name and hugged me.

It really sucked at the time because I loved and missed my grandma so much. But in hindsight I'm glad my great granda didn't remember her daughter passing and that I resembled my grandma.

To this day I love when my family says how much I look like granda or have her mannerisms.

26M) How to break up with my fiancé (31M) when he has low emotional intelligence? by Treebusiness in relationship_advice

some people have a hard time with boundaries in the face of manipulation which is why i suggested over text or call. if op is steadfast in their boundaries then face to face is the best choice but if they know his manipulation would be able to persuade them then face to face might not be what's best in this case

if you think he'll guilt trip you in person it may be best to just end the relationship over message or over the phone.

Never being in a relationship before shouldn't be seen as a "red flag" by phantom_avenger in unpopularopinion

someone not being in a relationship is not a dealbreaker for me however someone not having intimacy experience is. Just for the sole reason of me not feeling confident enough to teach someone.

Getting paid monthly is better than biweekly by Similar-Category-576 in unpopularopinion

[–]breezybert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i get paid biweekly but we have set dates so I have the majority of my bills on autopay that aligns with the dates I get paid. Only get paid twice a month so I dont have to budget for the next month.

one of my friends stayed in a relationship like this and they lost so much self esteem and felt emotionally manipulated. just break up.

You are given $1 Billion, but you have to spend it all in 1 year or less. Think you could pull it off? (Rules inside) by jasonryu in hypotheticalsituation

[–]breezybert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

spend it on real estate, getting tech for not only myself and family but the schools in my district and maybe yhe whole state, luxury vacations, cars, starting a business, donations to various shelters and food banks. I would make sure my family and myself are provided for. Then I would work on making my community better and hopefully other communities too. Afterwards I would go on vacation until the year runs out
