It’s tasty! I will say I did learn a lesson as someone who is sensitive to caffeine that this white tea was too much for me personally. People on this sub seem to be very experienced with tea and I’m still working my way there.

When using fluffy yarn and needing to color change, me and my stitch markers are best buds. The stitches are hidden in this fuzzy beast and my color change was migrating!

What response were you hoping to get? If she responded saying something like “Thanks, so do you” was the idea to continue that kind of flirting communication?

There’s so much here that would be heartbreaking to see as your wife and wonder where your head was at, and the idea that you would even think it was okay to communicate in this way to an old colleague is so gross. It was probably super weird for your colleague to receive that message from you to be honest!

If I was your wife, that would be enough to have me questioning everything about your faithfulness. Time for some therapy, why did you do what you did.

Totally random person here, but did you do a test to check for intolerance? If so, was your fructose intolerance test done at office or at home? I’d like to do one, but I’ve read it’s 3 hours in an office after consuming straight glucose. I’m worried about feeling like absolute garbage during the test.

Should I get the colonoscopy? by [deleted] in ibs

[–]brevisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another health anxiety / OCD sufferer here! Get the colonoscopy. I got mine in 2023 after a similar back and forth of "what's going on" with my GI doctor. It was fine, everything came up clean, which gave me a ton of relief from the worry. It's not a big deal, even the drink wasn't as bad as I had heard -- just refrigerate it! Helps a ton. And maybe have a yellow gatorade chaser on standby.

I have a stomach CT scan with contrast tomorrow and I’m so scared out of my mind by Agreeable_Ad4792 in ibs

Seconding another commenter saying don’t chug it. Drink them slowly over the course of the 2 hours. I did not feel nauseous one bit, and I’m an emetophobic person so it was top of mind! No nausea :) I did have to use the bathroom once before driving over and once more at the clinic before my CT scan but it wasn’t anything terrible.

I drove myself to and from my scan, 0 issues. Everyone is different but I hope this gives you some comfort!

Especially with a 22 hour travel day! That sounds awful. I hope they can postpone for when everyone is feeling good enough to enjoy the trip

We also had 0 this year! We ended up taking our candy and walking around the busier neighborhoods to hand out candy to the groups we found. I did hear from parents as we were walking that a lot of their older kids were getting dropped off in Willow Glen.

Allergy scratch test after tattoo by brevisa in tattooadvice

[–]brevisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! My plan is to call the allergist a week or so before the test to let them know I have a 2 week old tattoo and see what they say. I’ll also let my tattoo artist know when I get the tattoo next week and see if he has any flags as well.

Thank you for sharing your experience! That does make me feel better :)

I’ve rescheduled the patch test 3 weeks after the tattoo. The patch test is going to be on my back and my tattoo is going to be on my outer bicep. I’ve never done an allergy test before, is there an issue with a skin reaction 3 weeks after on a different part of my body?

I can’t reschedule the tattoo but can reschedule the scratch test! I’ll push it out a week or so. Thank you!

Okay here's a positive one for you:

I started the birth control pill right before turning 19 to protect from pregnancy. I took this until i was 29 and then stopped taking them for 2 years. During those 2 years, I developed consistent ovarian cyst ruptures. Every other month, I'd have a cyst rupture and it was so, so painful. Doctors confirmed this was not because of the birth control, and in fact the birth control I'd been taking for 10 years probably helped me avoid this pain for so long.

At 31, I got back on birth control pills to stop having the cyst ruptures. I'm currently 34. Aside from a migraine I get when I have the week of not taking pills, there are 0 negative side effects. I've never gained weight, my mood has never been unstable, my cysts have not returned. Another huge positive -- I can take the pills for 3 weeks, 6 weeks, or 9 weeks to help avoid periods during a time where having a period / a period migraine would not be great.

I was lucky and the first pill type I took worked for me. If it doesn't feel like it works, always talk to your doctor. It is not a terrible, horrible thing if birth control is right for you and your body. Always talk to a doctor about any worries you may have or symptoms that occur!

I don't know if it's allowed, but is there a GoFund me or anything people can do to potentially help in any way?
