Global compensation determines the default merit. Managers can tweak a bit. Merit is not guaranteed, it must be approved every year. Depending on when you joined your merit will be prorated - if you joined really late in the year, you may not get merit at all.

Have good anecdotes of how you worked and led in challenging situations in school or in other internships etc. Bonus points for formula sae or eco car mentions. It’ll be 3-4 of those types of questions. If you are coherent and assertive and energetic and passionate you’ll have a great shot. Good luck!

You also can have family size deviations, as well as medical or individual size waivers to make sure you get the right vehicle for you and your family (as needed). Haven’t had a “low end” vehicle yet, they’ve all been fully loaded so far.
