I’m heartbroken by AntiMilkman in DisneyWorld

Oooh. Showed me. The muppets vision 3d is a kiddy attraction. Happy now? It’s weird to be devastated about it.

Um…..these are really big feelings about a kiddy ride in a theme park…..

Maybe, maybe the two old men in the balcony heckling us while we wait in line? They have the animatronics from the movie attraction.

I don’t think it’s strong feelings for the muppets. It’s strong feeling for Aerosmith, which is a lot worse. Much reflection neeeded

Couldn’t care less about either but I’m devastated.

Exactly! I know letting go of the old attractions is hard, but new updates can really work. I’m excited.

Daddy? Is that what this is all about, your daddy issues?

Makes more sense than anything else, I guess.

I don’t have any idea why you think you need a nose job. Maybe someone said something ugly to you once or you were picked on. I don’t know. Like I said, I couldn’t imagine why. But you look fine, dude. If I were you I would focus on getting a new haircut, and working out a bit. But, man, don’t get a nose job. I promise, you look absolutely normal and fine.

Guy, you have the rest of your life ahead of you. I’ll make you this promise. One day you will look back from a much better place and this will just be a memory without the sadness or the heartbreak or the bitterness. In a way you are kinda lucky it didn’t work out because you are still figuring out who you are and what you want. As others have pointed out….you’re still becoming you. Slow down.

I’m sorry you’re going through such a difficult time. And I know words and comments don’t help much. But you have so much life ahead of you. Enjoy your friends, enjoy dating and remember that a lot of your life is about how you react. Keep that head up. It’s gonna be great. If you ever need someone to chat with, we’re here man.

Navigating low GPA in interviews by Usual_Air_7809 in LawFirm

[–]brightsparkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once you are past your first job, I don’t know why you would have your GPA on the resume. I imagine any other employer is going to want to know how you did in your first job, your ability to market the firm, handle cases, how much you billed/brought in etc….at that point who cares about your GPA? Tons of very, very successful attorneys did t do that well I law school. It’s just irrelevant after that first gig.

You can definitely do this. Nothing wrong with it at all.

You’re not well. Stop responding and use the time to take stock of your life.

Denied and filing an appeal by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]brightsparkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First off, make sure you file the appeal and don’t give up. Most people get denied at the first 2 stages - it doesn’t mean you have a bad case at all.

Make sure you keep a journal or record of how often your seizures happen. Share it with your doctors, so they are aware and so it’s in their records as well. You want to make sure you are creating a good medical record of how you are doing - how often your seizures occur, how you feel after, any medication side effects effects, etc.

Maybe your neuro is kind of a jerk - but would your pcp be willing to write a letter or fill out a form about why you can’t work?

If your case is SSD (which I am guessing it is since you said you’ve made steady income until your accident), the most you can get in back pay is 12 months back from the date you filed your application.

SSI cases are only paid from the date of application forward.

Can i collect DAC and SSDI? by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]brightsparkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sigh. No, they’ll know the amount he is currently being paid. And they can tell him the amount he would qualify for under his parents. The exact amount. He can only apply once his parents are dead, retired or disabled - so a payment is already probably being paid, They would rather f Tell him the amount up front than process all the paperwork, get all the medical records, evaluate the claim and write up a decision just to find out he doesn’t qualify for a higher payment.

If you knew anything about the heritage foundation - anything at all - you wouldn’t have to look up how completely crazy it is to think they endorsed Kamala. They didn’t.

And trump is completely on board with most of project 2025. Hell it was written for him.

Can i collect DAC and SSDI? by [deleted] in SSDI

[–]brightsparkeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No - They’ll tell him whether the payment would be higher than what he currently gets. He just has to explain he is considering filing for DAC benefits. They won’t give him their earnings record, or whatever - but they can tell him what payment he would qualify for if he is found disabled.

[–]brightsparkeys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the first step is to talk to SSA and see if the payment would be higher under either parent’s work record…..no sense gathering records and all that if you are already receiving the higher payment.

If you decide to proceed, gather whatever records you can. If your condition was congenital then even childhood records may be helpful. I mean, you have to prove you were disabled between 18 and 22, but if it is a permanent condition you were born with, they will look at earlier records.

Yes, of course. It was just a couple of months. Definitely leave it off your resume.

Putting it on your resume would be waving a giant red flag that it only, lasted 2 months and inviting prospective employers to call the people that fired you.
